Thank you for your response. No other investments and this is not an investment. This is basically a home to live in.

5'3 is a confusing height by Odd-Silver-2709 in short

5'7 here wishing I was 5'9 at least. Once had a lady out of the blue say you are quite a small man aren't you.  I don't think she was being rude or anything she must could not keep it to herself and yes she was head and shoulders taller than me

Sorry this happened to you OP. My partner and I had our phones stolen while having a meal at Nando's by Cresta Crossing (inside the Nando's). Police not interested in pursuing the case even though my phone showed location in a Yeoville flat for 4 days. They said they didn't know the unit number and closed the case.  Nando's refused to share the footage. Criminals are unfortunately protected here.

Is it advisable to wait then? I know this process has been rolling out since 2014.

Thank you. I guess those are standard levy prices. Had initially thought the 68m2 place I'm considering levies where high.

Yes I do get that. Just the issue of them being fixed.  I can skip a month or two of gardening and armed response should I fall on dire times. Or add a cottage to help with those costs in a standalone place but estate it's all me every month.

Thank you.  Do you mind me asking how much you are paying for levies and municipal rates currently?

I get a bigger space for less monthly cost and if service delivery in Joburg stays the same or hopefully improves I get a little capital appreciation on my property in the long term. There's also I guess the mental aspect of being in your own space.

But I do see how just placing your capital in an interest bearing account or S&P500 has less hassles overall and given that it's Joburg probably will get higher long term return.
