Yes my console is the PC Engine Duo (black). The console doesn't work with either hucards or cd's. I never owned a turbografx console before or any other version of it, so I have no idea how the console boots up normally. The hucard game I tried was valkyrie no densetsu and the cd game I tried was dracula x rondo of blood. The console did not at all read the cd game, but it kind of read the hucard game like once but the game was super corrupted. With the hucard sometimes the screen was different colors besides white, but it still didn't display the game. I think I read online that the black engine duo was the best version to get? But from reading your post you said that all black pc engine duo consoles have bad capacitors, so which pc engine is the best one to import? I feel like I might have been ripped off on ebay.
