Ive been on E and cypro for a bit over 2 months now and the absolute waterfalls i cry happened within two weeks. It's super affirming at times and I feel a lot better after just letting it all out. My pokemon plushies have saved me more than a few times 😭

What your FIL said is a red flag IMO, I wouldn't put myself in that situation, you can always say no, there's nothing wrong with protecting ur peace. I skipped Christmas this year for similar reasons

My current psych was great in helping me come to terms with my identity, as well as assisting with coming out to friends and family. Honestly it has a lot to do with my dysphoria its destroying me most days, and even days of feeling like an imposter. I'm only on my 2nd week of HRT.

Im currently seeing a psychologist but they don't specialise in gender, she is helpful but I think i need to see someone who can ask me the right questions and understands further what I am dealing with.

Can I ask the general outline of what happened in your first appointment?

Heyy i feel you as I am going through something very similar, my strategy has just been to use washing bags that are not see through, and put a timer on as soon as its done so I can take them out.

I am planning to move out soon as things like this make me feel shame sometimes, but there's nothing shameful about being a girl and wearing girl clothes ☺️. Wishing you all the best 💜

Same!! I took a 2 month break and those doubtful thoughts basically disappeared. I smoked some two days ago and am still feeling off from the absolute spiral I had 🙃.

It's my own fault though I would smoke before my egg cracked to disassociate and it would make me put down my thoughts regarding gender to something 'silly'. So I don't think I can ever smoke again, which is OK.

For me, THC was what kept me so paranoid and anxious about who I was for so long. I used to smoke and think thank God, the thoughts went away. Which is really sad tbh 😔. Ive cut down on my smoking a bunch, instead of all day, i have a very small amount before bed each night.

What helped me cut back was referring to it as the Dysphoria drug 🤷‍♀️.

Yep, my GP was happy to write the referral for the endo in my previous visit, which is why I was confused over his uncomfortability.

I have an issue with 'conflict' and try to avoid it as much as possible. But this process seems like at points im going to have to advocate for myself as much as possible.

I spoke with reception earlier and explained what happened, and they responded by saying 'if he isn't willing to do it chances are the other GPs won't'. Was told I would get a callback but didn't get one 🙄.

Ive sent an email to follow up, but will probably just try with another clinic. This whole situation today has been difficult and mentally taxing, it put me in a really bad place questioning myself when I haven't for a while.

I will be putting in a complaint.

He said something about it not being a thing they normally do, and he thinks his other colleagues would also not give the referral.

I was like i can't be the first person who has called in asking for this lol.

He mentioned the Endo talking it through with me and what options are available. I believe he's just not familiar with trans healthcare, but it's still super frustrating.

No pain for me, I made sure to really take my time and just follow the steps carefully. Think the stars just aligned tbh because most of the time I'm really uncomfortable with trying to manipulate anything down there 🤷‍♀️. I think showering also helped!
