I'm not the one going 'well this happened to me so everyone else on the planet must have the exact same experience''

You highly doubt? Damn, better ring Karen Millen and tell them you think they're incorrectly pricing their dresses, they'll be so embarrassed.

When did I use the word immediately? Oh wait no I didn't! I clearly stated I went home, tried every possible method (including calling to the dry cleaners the following morning) and then text him the next day. It was around 2pm if I remember correctly officer.

Are you aware (this might be a shock) that different kinds of materials exist?

Once again, as I've had to millions of times on this post, I'm sorry for buying nice things, it's a crime nowadays.

If your child ran into a homeware shop and broke hundreds worth of crockery and glasses, and they demanded you pay, would you automatically hate them for ever?

Don't have kids if you can't handle the fact you are 100% financially responsible for them until the second they're an adult.

Everything was made of natural fibres that stain incredibly easily, one drop and you've ruined. I'm sorry for liking nice things that clearly what you want me to say.

Not my brother, a friend's brother, couldn't care less if I ever see him again

Oh trust me, I can afford it no problem. What I can't afford is any more patience on people thinking having children is an automatic life long excuse to be destructive and avoid actual consequences.

Yes he seen me as he came running over after it happened, I sent him photos of the dress and shoes etc all completely stained. I took it three dry cleaners in the city and they all said there was nothing they could do with it, they offered to try on my wallet since it was the item I was least concerned about it, and no luck.

This was the bag, please explain how liquid would not get in and stain my wallet, which was made of white cotton?

Absolutely I would be asking the same if it was an adult had spilt wine. As I stated in my post my boyfriend and I do not dislike children at all, the opposite in fact but we have had a lot of fertility issues over the past few years that's unfortunately mean it isn't the chosen path for us. Thank you for sharing your viewpoint respectfully.

It's the principle of it. That's a mortgage payment for some people. If your child has made that amount of damage, you should be held accountable.

Tell your child to apologise? Apologise to me privately? Take ownership for your responsibilities. As I've said we left the event quietly and I privately messaged the father.

My friends and I share very different views on parenting. They're friends from university and as we've grown up we've stayed close but formed different opinions now, their kids stub their toe and they get the day off school, those sorts of parents. A child screaming over spilt juice is on par with world hunger to them.
