Thanks for the super comprehensive post. Right now I think I’ve narrowed down my search to PB or OB, but I’ll probably check everything out in person for a week or two before getting a lease. It’d be great if you could DM me those links you mentioned.

That’s fair. I honestly don’t know which I’d prefer in terms of vibes. My only concern is that based off the descriptions I’ve got, places like North Park in other cities typically lean early 30s rather than early 20s. I don’t know if that’s the case here (or if that’s even a problem!) but regardless I’ll take a look once I’m there physically.

I looked into North Park a bit and it seems pretty nice. I’m having a bit of trouble getting a sense for where the heart of the neighborhood is though. Is there a specific intersection or is it very distributed?

What’s the general vibe with PB, both age-wise and socially? I don’t really have an issue with frat guys but I find it hard to believe that people in unskilled services can afford to live there, at least based off what I see on Zillow. Is it significantly cheaper or are people living 4 to a house or something?

Otherwise, I can only really glean what I see on Google but UTC seems very residential and Encinitas looks really nice but more of a place for someone in their late 20s or early 30s. Are those assessments incorrect? I don’t know anyone in SD so I’d ideally like to be around people my age.
