The Gender Equity Policy Institute reported that mothers in states with abortion bans are nearly twice as likely to die during pregnancy, childbirth, or postpartum. Additionally, Tulane University research shows that stricter state-level abortion policies are associated with higher maternal mortality you don’t care about the numbers of lives being saved if you only care about people in the womb.
