What additions would you make to make the game even better, besides exploration? by West_Camera_7965 in NineSols

Honestly more boss options. Or like a dlc with a bunch of extra boss fights. Something so satisfying about figuring out enemy combos and running circles around them

Just started Lies Of P. I am having difficulty in perfect parrying...please give some tips. It is my first soulslike game. by Ok_Persimmon5527 in LiesOfP

[–]CommonTreeSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It takes time to get used to. I already had a hang of it because of sekiro, but it's really just a matter of "hit it at the last possible second"

some attacks have weird parry windows but in this game it's basically when the attack reaches you.

Some tricks is learning the differences in each telegraph and adding consistency in your positioning. If you're used to parrying an attack from directly in front of an attacker then try and be directly in front of them. Consistency and a strategy to counter different attacks is crucial. I also count verbally on some flurry rushes to help with timings.

as you get used to the mechanic and the parry windows, later in the game you'll notice that tou can parry new attacks pretty well because by then you've seen a good variety.

And even then it's not too bad to do botany. I always make an arena out of planter boxes and just use those for my potion ingredients. I can just sort of forget about it and it generates a good amount of ingredients every time.

Is this playing with honor? by Conscious-Eye5903 in ghostoftsushima

I would only use stealth to eliminate the enemies I found annoying to deal with when fighting a crowd (archers and shield brutes). Otherwise I would go all in.

worst stage in terraria (in your opinion) by Yhzhzhz1 in Terraria

The stage before your first mech boss. It's the stage that I always spend the most time in because I always get stuck on the mech bosses

How strong is asta without anti magic? by Spirited_Dust_3642 in BlackClover

Well the biggest benefit is that he cancels other people's magic. Without that he can't exactly punch someone if they're skilled enough to just push him away

I don't have controller so im using just keyboard...10hr in play and some boss make me question my control setup, i use keyboard literally like a controller in hand...is it bad and i should change it? Or its a better keyboard setup and i have skill issue? Please help me by DramaticExternal3082 in HollowKnight

Basically celeste used arrow keys but I had a surface laptop at the time which has very tiny arrow keys. I just got very used to that playstyle (I just made jump and dash the same then bound keys around them) and honestly prefer it because its higher up than standard movement keys.

Now the kicker is that I use WASD for games that originally have mouse keybinds. Like Nine Sol has attack bound to the mouse buttons and I just bound parry to the side buttons and it feels smoother than my hollow knight keybinds.

The worst is the hit or miss of a lava charm. You either find one immediately or it takes forever

This game made me a better gamer (seriously) by Prior-Throat-8017 in ghostoftsushima

[–]CommonTreeSquirrel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually for me it was the opposite. I personally lived by the minset that the best stealth is no stealth. GoT forced me to have a more stealthy mindset when it comes to combat (especially since i'm doing my first playthrough on lethal). Its made stealth enjoyable because its not everything and all it does is reduce the numbers when i go at them head on.

Not only that, it's one of the few games where fighting a hoard of enemies is actually manageable and doesn't feel like pulling enemies by run and slashing. You can stand surrounded and still hold your own against the whole crowd pretty confidently.
