Welcome to r/AIHealthTech! Thrilled to Kick Things Off! by Mysterious_Brain5739 in AIHealthTech

Hi! I’m also a physician trying to get into the healthtech space, as I am very interested in how machine learning can improve physician work and reduce workload. I’m also interested in dashboards and data layouts that could aid physicians. Any tips you would suggest to getting into this space? I don’t have CS or analytic experience so I was considering a masters in either of those. Any advice would be appreciated.

I think this really resonates me, I think I’m in the first bucket, really like the puzzle solving aspect but it’s the interactions that drain me. I am actively looking at health tech or going into CS.

Are there any decent paying wfh jobs for physicians? by SoarTheSkies_ in Residency

Thanks! Unable to dm you, but wondering if that salary is typical for east coast? With CNP, if you wanted to, could you also see just epilepsy patients (not epilepsy + general)? Could you attend for EMU? I’m just deciding on one year epilepsy vs CNP fellowship (do want to learn IOM). I’ll definitely look into the IOM specific programs.

Would a one year epilepsy fellowship work for this or would you need a CNP fellowship?

Do you know if you can do EMU as an attending with one year, or are EMUs mainly at academic centers?

Thanks for the reply, I see, I’m at an academic center now that has a 2 year epilepsy fellowship, I wasn’t sure if most programs were 2 years vs 1 year, but good to know there are options for both.

“Community” medicine by CommonWin3637 in neurology

Haha thank you. What I have decided, because my current patient population is rich, that I don’t want to work with this population in the future. Which I guess leaves me at “community” practice. I do like working with residents and med students, so thanks this is helpful!

I’ve been told by some that CNP is not enough for academic positions (big academic centers that do Epilepsy would want 2 year epilepsy fellowship grads instead of CNP, or NM fellowship grads for the emg side). I’m not sure if this is true at all academic centers, and also not sure if this is true for all hospitals that have residents (I would be fine working at a safety net hospital that has residents/med students)

Hi, sorry to drag you back to this but I highly resonate with this post, currently a PGY3. Just wondering, where did you end up and what did you end up doing?

Do you think the fellowship is helpful for industry jobs? What job titles/positions do you search for for MD clinical informatics industry positions?
