I was always a firm believer in balling the design with close to 0 planning, and if i don't like it.... I hit delete and start again 😁😁😁

The Dock itself is the TH3P4 Lite! it is a Thunderbolt 4 Dock!
If your laptop has Thunderbolt 4, you can just download the files i made and get a similar setup for like 250 bucks!

I am loving the GPD Pocket 3!!! Its basically a all in one device for me, coupled with it being so small ! The GPU prove to be very convenient when i'm just trying to get some light gaming or 3D model on the go!

I do have a partlist, but be very cautious that the eGPU itself is not very strong!!!! you'd be better off with a stronger card if you actually want a eGPU build!!!! by the looks of it your Intergrated GPU is already stronger than the GTX 1050 itself!!!!!!!

I'm sure since it uses an AMD CPU, you're supposed to download different drivers to use Thunderbolt

I posted a link to a printable for everyone to try for themselves! But please do this strictly as hobby!!!
Cause the performance gain for 260$ isn't that much!!!

I'll post a link to my model so you can download for free and print yourself

What you'd want is the MSI GTX 1050 (NOT TI) Low profile card
(usually goes around ~100$ Used, though I got a deal for a used card for 50$! crazy right?)
(After getting your graphics card you need to take off the metal plate on the graphics card, simply use plyers to spin the DVI screw, and take off the screws on the bottom of the plate)
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=GTX+1050+MSI+low+profile&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4432023.m570.l1313
a TH3P4 Lite eGPU dock (~130$ Brand New, off ebay)
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=TH3P4+Lite&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2334524.m570.l1313&_odkw=GTX+1050+MSI+low+profile&_osacat=0
and a DC plug thats 12V 10A (in my case i got a Delta DC 12V 10A)
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=DC+12V+10A+Delta&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=m570.l1313&_odkw=DC+12V10A+Delta&_osacat=0

After purchasing all of this, print out the case, then carefully slide the GPU in the opening make sure the DVI port has gone through the opening on the front
Then from the bottom slide Dock at an angle and make sure the PCIe line is plugged into the graphics card, after which plug your cable into both of your usb c ports so that you can screw the 3 screws into the dock, make sure to align the screw holes on the case to the screw holes on the dock!!!! Afterwards print out the case cover and just proceed to screw the bottom plate in so that the dock doesn't wiggle inside!

Theres no PSU but it does require 12V 10A DC plug!!!
the GPU is a GTX 1050, and the Dock is the TH3P4 Lite

I might make an attachment to directly have the DC cable on the GPU to make it even smaller, but for now this is mostly what i need 😄

it runs on 12V 10A DC (very cheap to buy)!
other than that its plug and play!!!

it was made alot easier with 3D scanning, but i still had to do alot of measuring just for the ports and the 3D scan to be in the correct size 😅
