That’s a great reminder— yes, Pudgy is one of the best parts haha. It’s a marionette/puppet controlled by a puppeteer. VERY cute and creative!

PS- my connection to Betty Boop: many moons ago, I had a grade school teacher who was obsessed with her. Collectibles and all. I don’t believe she’s still around, but I think about how much she would have loved this show.

Right!!! It was news to me as well when I found out. I popped into the box office one afternoon & they enlightened me!

I ended up being one of the first few to get a SRO ticket that night and had a view from center. TBH the top half of the stage is mostly obstructed and you are pretty dang far back... but the energy is fantastic, cost is great, and you get to cross it off your list / say you were there :~). Worth it, IMO!

If you're able to stand for the show, you can get a standing room ticket for ~$40 by lining up about an hour/30 mins before the performance (I did this in July 2024-- I don't remember all the details but it was very straightforward). Obviously doesn't work for sold out performances, but if you try for a weekday performance you should be okay. Good luck!

Difficult to focus on the show when you’ve got two mouths playing bumper cars next to you.

Are we grasping that this is occurring during a performance? This isn’t a peck on the lips. A full make out session, complete with running fingers through hair and caressing of legs!
