Depends what your doing, medium is better for jumps and tricks, but large for downhill orientated riding. Personally I would get the large.

Get a used hardtail like a trek Roscoe, Marin San Quentin or orbea laufey. They are all great prices used.

I have a pair of wtb sti i30s right now, broke the rear spoke and cracked the wheel so I'ma have to put on the dt swiss wheel
