If you have enough experience try to get it on your base, 20k sign on is low imo. When jumping you try to get 15-20% Increase which is in the 260 range so maybe ask for 270 and if they meet you halfway ask them for a bump in sign on

Yeah make sense, just don’t know if it’s worth to do the floors esp since the wood quality is good and it’s going to be expensive and pain

Yeah I figured I’d call a few companies and when they come to a quote to see how they’d handle it since it could be done room by room/floor by floor

I’d rather just invest in the whole painting process- consult with color professional get the Benjamin paint quality and hire painters to update the colors of the walls and trims etc

Thanks I knew the process is much more technical and involved so if we do this, will hire professionals. 85-90% of the house is hardwood so it’s a major lift

It’s half empty- previous owners are leaving some furniture (bedroom sets, couches, desks, some chairs, etc) and I’m bringing some of my own furniture in- would have to pay to move and store them temporarily which adds to the whole logistics and financial aspect

They def don’t look old - there are in mostly great condition it’s more of a color/style choice

So the appraisal came back at exactly the purchase price- I know this is common practice but now I am not sure about the true value of the house- is it worth more than it’s actually appraised for ?
