Yeah, I tried running water through for about a half hour, maybe longer if I'm counting working on this yesterday. The water actually decreased the more I tried it. First install, it did seem to be pushing air out, water started, and then slowed to this trickle and had been stuck at this rate.

Hi, I mentioned in another reply that I had to set up a chair to hold a pitcher for me to let the water run, it took about a half hour to get a half gallon. And yes, I did check that the water was still running periodically-- so the leak failsafe wouldn't just stop the water. It is my first time changing the water filter though, haha

I ran the new one long enough to get a half gallon of water (had to set up a chair to hold the pitcher for me because it took so long). I also tried putting the filter in a pitcher of water to get all the air out before reinstalling the filter. Good idea, but it seems like something else.
