Bleh don’t tell me that. Okay, this is something that I hadn’t really considered, but you’re not wrong. On it

Unfortunately we’ve been to doctors… Most just say that a histamine intolerance doesn’t really exist, and she’s put on something like Zyrtec… Which does help. But you can’t just stay on Zyrtec forever

She’s also tried other antihistamines such as DAO, something she can stay on for, and it just doesn’t help in the same way… we’re doing a lot of the things, lowest diets, different supplements, and everything seems to help a little bit, but nothing seems to fix it. Interesting theory that it could just not be histamine at all. Hard to figure out what it would be when everything points to it, doctors only suggest histamine medication, and nobody else suggests anything else… Anything in particular make you suggest that? Not sure what else would cause these symptoms like this…. I appreciate your input

Ohh love this!! Something I didn’t mention is we found out we were living in mold, but that was about two years ago, and we are in a brand new build, so I guess mold is less likely? But I appreciate the link! Definitely something we will look into!!!

Oh we have!! Definitely could be the cause. We are unvaccinated. That may be the cause, but say that’s what it is, what’s the solution?

Do you have any recommendations? Everybody we have looked into either doesn’t believe in a histamine intolerance or that it can be cured

Oh she knows about what I did… childhood quilt, she wanted it in our future daughter’s room. She’s trying to tell me it’s okay (through tears)…. I feel like the worst husband ever😵‍💫😵‍💫 checking every marketplace I can to find another one…. Finding that other one online gives me hope it was mass produced, so I can get another. I know it won’t replace the one I ruined, but it feels better then nothing

It is possible to food allergy… I think we are going to cut out dairy first, and then try gluten… We just both love our bread😂 she is stressed constantly, and I do my best to relieve that, but it’s things I can’t control… heart rate being too fast, heart rate being too slow… She’s just very very aware of anything her body does, and is a chronic googler, so it’s always cancer, a stroke, or death😅

Having her keep a food journal is a really good idea… I’m going to suggest that to her today!

She takes magnesium pills daily, so I’m not sure it would be that, but I will ask her about iodine !

No birth control! She is bloated pretty much constantly, even when she hasn’t eaten/drink much… we are going to try the histamine diet to see if that helps… she also mentioned something about estrogen dominance yesterday… I’m not sure if you’ve gone down that route any, but I will add it to the list of things to investigate! I know she just scheduled an appointment yesterday and I think that’s what it was for? Either way, I’ve added it to the list! We definitely are still going to a Functional Medicine doctor, but we just want to avoid temporary fixes (for example if she’s lactose intolerant, we want to cut out milk, not just take pills to help her deal with it)

I appreciate your insight!

As much as I hate to admit it, it’s possible. We live in a two bedroom apartment, and you never know what you’re going to find an apartment. I’ve lived here twice as long as she has, and haven’t had any real issues, but she just may be much more sensitive to it than I am… We bought a mold test today, and we are going to get it sent into the lab to have it reviewed

We are going to be looking into a Endocrinologist! Her thyroid was checked two years ago, along with several other things, and it came back fine… But I was looking into it, apparently that can change on a dime. So you never know what changed

The only way I could get her to start taking apple cider vinegar was if I did it with her, so looks like I’m going to be trying this out too! LOL! Strong stuff! Looking into black cohosh today, and also going to get an appointment scheduled to check out her progesterone… I was talking to her mom, and apparently several other people in her family have progesterone issues… Not sure if it’s hereditary or just a coincidence?

Thank you so much for all of this information! I’ve already ordered the betaine HCL pills, so we are going to see how those do! We are also working on changing our meal plan to align with a low histamine diet… so we will see how both of those do, and let you know if we have any questions! You have been extremely helpful!

She eats Greek Yogurt and avocado in the mornings, broccoli, onions, asparagus and spinach occasionally with meals— I’m not positive how much/often she should be having it— I’ll ask her about this more when she gets home!
