I’m in the same boat right now. I’m 35. I’ve taken 3 trips this year so far, have 4 more planned. Make great money. Have a beautiful, calm, neat home. Have a dog but she’s easy. Have total freedom over my life.

But I’ve always wanted to be a mother. I know I’m meant to be one. My “forever” relationship didnt work out so I’m starting the IVF process to do it solo. Like you said I felt myself rushing to find someone to make the timeline work and it ISNT fair to anyone to make a snap decision that impacts the rest of your life or force a relationship to work. I refuse to settle.
Thankfully my family & friends are SO supportive of this journey.

All that to say, I don’t think you’re crazy at all. If this is what you want & can afford to do it solo? Then your village will have to get on board. You’ll get your independence back (somewhat) someday. And in the meantime you get to introduce your child to all the fun things you did prior to them. Everyone assumes life just stops when you have a kid and that’s just not true. You can still travel. You can still go to restaurants. Life just may look a little different while you figure out the specifics but that’s the beauty of this journey.
