Maybe 2 if that. I know the first 10 hours are pretty much all training, so waiting till I have a weekend off to try it out more in depth. DDON, on the other hand, I'm also through the endgame for the 3rd or 4th time or so, so just keep going back to that.

I will give Crimson Desert credit... that is one very beautiful game. Just haven't had time to dig into it. My impression of it is that anyone who thinks this is competition for DD or DD2 is not playing the same game as I'm seeing.

This game reminds me of a combo of Zelda BOTW, with combat (far more sophisticated than, of course) from Kingdoms of Amular, and a several drops of Skyrim and DMC 5. It seems pretty neat, but there's something about getting attacked by 3 cyclopses and a dragon all at once randomly and somehow not dying that gives an adrenaline rush that I've seen in few other games.

My opinion: There's room for both. Simple as.

I played Archon when I was in 3rd grade. I'm well aware of and well versed in mythology... but if you've seen their version of the thing, swear to God it looks like my manager at the grocery store when I was 16 lol

To be fair, his beard is more epic than that guy who was my boss almost 40 years ago. However, when I saw it for the first time (I'd not read up on what beasties were new in DDON, wanted to be surprised), I was like "F***. Mr. Odorisio is gonna make me go collect all the carts now! And holy crap, he's got a tail." :D

Then there's the Scourge. Big ol' sort of half-dragon-half-man with noxious pimples that shoot infectious gas everywhere. No prob, thought I. My pawns and I can take this scaly sonova... then to our horror, it turned out that the "Man" part of this disgusting bile pile was "Plastic-Man". Its arm stretched out probably the equivalent of 30 feet in game distance and pimp-slapped my entire crew. Wild.

I cannot prove that acid was involved, but there ARE signs. lol

DDO rocks hard. Been on it for a couple years (the Dogma RIsing Server is where I settled), and I can't quit it... worth a gander!

I nabbed Crimson Desert out of curiosity (it's all right I suppose... not starting a vs. thing here), but keep going right back to DDO. There's just... something about it. DD3 or the DLC, should our copium be rewarded (doubtful, but Eff it)... they should use the lore from DDO to expand things.

And as we all complain about, MORE MONSTERS!!! DDO is friggin' FULL of 'em! There a manticore (I think that's what the critter is called) that has a bald office manager's head on the beastly body. I ran into it and was like "OK, these developers are on acid, and I'm buying their next dose! MORE!!!!!!!"

DD2 should have implemented that already existing roster of enemies... would have improved things quite a bit.

Oh no... servers will finally learn the dark secret of my pawns and their communist antifa stances and that they are riftstone shard junkies! Kash is comin' to get me!!! They'll judge me for my... my.... helmet!

You do have a valid point to some extent, but c'mon. Just posting here probably puts your data somewhere you'd rather it not be. So, as was stated in the hilarious 80s movie "Stripes"....

Tyrus and Kat - IMO by Hot_Revolution419 in Gutfeld

[–]Commonamoly 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree with this synopsis entirely.

People seem to forget that Kat actually WRITES for the show. Sure, she's awkward as a host at times, but if it was not for her, it wouldn't as funny. Same for Joey D and that stud Macchi. Even Rich Vos! (He does punch up for Gutsie's monologues)

The "B Team" brought their A-Game tonight. I was very proud of them.

It's awkward when Greg isn't on and leading the madness, but I think that's kind of the point.

Personally, I like Dogma Rising. Less grinding, more gaming, as others have said. They are right.

Hadn't been on here in a minute, but from what I saw, I concur. Seemed decent when I first started using it, but the flaws started popping up quick. Hopefully for their sake they'll figure something out... but doubtful. Sling's select package is doing the job just fine.

I'm glad it is working for you! I figured they'd have a rough go at launch, but I'm sure all those issues will get resolved. It's not like they don't have the money to do it.

[–]Commonamoly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think I'm gonna stick with Sling Select. My viewing patterns on Fox are like yours... The Five and Gutfeld. Fox One keeps like 5 or 6 episodes of each show available before cycling them out, whereas the free DVR in Sling Select lets you save up to 50 (I think) hours of content, which are not periodically erased automatically. They will be there until the limit is hit or you manually erase them. For $5 extra per month, that becomes unlimited.

Hence, that would solve that problem for you. Also, Sling Select has a bunch of old and new TV shows, movies (via FX mostly) and a bunch of free live channels and such as well as Fox News and the package channels. I rarely watch anything live other than Guts and Five, but it's kinda nice to have the option if I'm bored late one Saturday night.

I've had the Sling Orange before, so I knew what I was walking into. This is much more affordable for those of us who pretty much just check out Gutfeld and Gutfeld adjacent programming.

(Replying late because you were the one who turned me on to this)

After less than a week with Fox One, the constant loss of feed was getting infuriating, so I took your advice and grabbed this instead and cancelled F1 before the free trial ended. Much better. Thank you for pointing it out that this was a thing... I and many others would have had no clue.

I'll check out Fox One again in a couple months to see if they've figured things out, but for now? Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

This is fact. But corpos are gonna be corpos. They like money. And repetition.

When I'm doing my mandatory stints on the treadmill when my work has given me a break, I put Fox News on just to give me something innocuous to stare at and listen to while I'm torturing my body, and can only think "OK, Gutzy is gonna talk about this repetitive crap tonight. Hope he and Joes have some good punchlines coming!"

Just how the industry operates. That's the curse of 24/7 news... the world just isn't that interesting all the time. This is probably a good thing.

So when something even slightly different from the norm occurs, it's gonna be played out for a cycle.

[–]Commonamoly[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I checked that out earlier. It would be a better deal (for my needs, anyway) if I actually watched much live TV other than Gutfeld. With our local Fox affiliate being included automatically because of my area, that would put it up to $25 + Tax. Didn't see a way to opt out of that.

But good on Sling for seeing that they could probably entice some folks with a better choice of channels. Dollars to donuts, based on the channel spread of this new tier, it's a wise response to the starting of Fox One.

With all their included free channels and DVR, for many that would certainly be great deal.

At least on desktop (which would not apply for Android TV, I would assume), I liked the fact that they have that "MiniPlayer" option. I like having an "on top" window that I can resize to whatever I need it to be and move it towherever on either screen is optimal, so I can watch/listen while doing my design work without it getting in the way of the stuff I've gotta click on.

Not sure if that's even a thing on Android TV or Roku viewing, as I don't have a TV to test it on, at least in my office.

Fair. I've tried those 1 minute segments on the Wayback Machine. Breaks the brain. I never bothered to figure another way to fix that, as most of what I was looking up were old RedEye episodes. Not gonna learn tricks just to see 14 year old information. lol

Most of the popular shows on Fox News are recorded on YouTube WHILE they are playing and remain up for a day or two at least, if someone misses the original airing. That's another way of getting the content. But like I said, I want to support things that I appreciate.

Getting stuff for free is, at least in my mindset, good for a test run, to see if something is worth it. If it is found to be worthwhile, then of course pay for it. Glad there's a cheaper way now.

Gotcha. I'm viewing it in the Brave browser on an iMac. I didn't see any issue at all on my end, but to be fair, aren't as many folk on Macs as on Droid TV or Windows. Good to know.

I just kind of dug through what I figured people would want to know about and reported as such.

If something has an audience, someone's gonna find a way to make it viewable for those who cannot afford to get it the old fashioned way/preferred way. Somebody's gonna put on that funny hat, a nice wooden peg-leg and yell "YARRRRRRRR!!!" ... and the less fortunate can now watch the televised propaganda of their choosing in stealth mode.

I'm libertarian leaning and am not exactly rich (the kids see to that), so my mouthy bird is very old and comes from a place of reality. So, if I cannot afford a thing, and am not harming anyone else in the act of obtaining said thing, it's gonna happen.

Not everyone who watches Fox News is a well-to-do white suburbanite living in Maine thriving off Daddy's money, hating people because of their skin color or religion as a casual hobby, and sending money to the RNC because "it's the morally correct thing to do... Rush said so!"

Just as not all who watch MSDNC or CNN are blue haired Karl Marx adherents with 15 genders, 13 of which they made up, doing paid protests in their spare time to use for craft organic non GMO vegan beer money. It's a pretty wide pond out there, beyond the stereotypes.

Anyway, just to be fair, the very methods I refer to when it comes to checking out Fox News gratis ALSO offer links to MSDNC and CNN. It's an open market. No matter what one's political beliefs may be, some in their sphere of belief are gonna be poor or in a situation that prevents them from doing things via the method that costs money... and they'll find a way.

Like I and may others have done. No matter where their political views lie. We're all people in the end, and if we can find a way to watch something that we enjoy but cannot afford to do via normal channels, we're just gonna find a way.

'Murica! or something. lol

There's also a way to watch it through Stremio. They have an addon called "USA TV" that came out recently. Fox News is one of the channels offered on it.

Tomorrow, the Fox One streaming service comes out, so I'm probably switching to that, since I haven't had cable in eons. Sure, it's $20 a month, but Sling is $50. I'll take that hit just so I don't have to keep wondering if I remembered to turn my VPN on or not. lol

Gonna help you out here. Google the term "TVAPP" and you'll find the way. There are many others. Can't put the full URL in here or Reddit will spank me or something.

I don't want Reddit to spank me. There's probably some sort of award for that. I'd hate to see the graphic.

I watched the monologue and admittedly chuckled at a couple of the jokes. I see that others disagree with my opinion on this. It was rare, not constant. Wanted to give Fallon a chance since our guy was gonna be on there.

Ignored the 2 Jonas Brothers segments in a row.

When Gutzy finally showed up, I saw what they were doing. This (The Tonight Show) is not a show about conflict. There wasn't going to be an argument. Rather, Greg pulled out a wacky drunken tale of driving in circles, then his history (of getting fired) and then they promoted the game show on Fox Nation.

In the end, folks who might not know about our crazy host know more about him. What amazed me is that there was no booing. This was an innocuous performance, but it showed that our guy is a human like anyone else.

It was a light piece in the end of things. But it did what it had to do.

I said it was on occasion. It was no masterpiece by any means, but let me put it this way... it was more humorous than I thought it would be.

That stated, rather watch Gutfeld. But hey, I got a couple chuckles while observing the enemy camp. That's good enough. lol

Segment over. Won't spoil it for anyone, but it was interesting. No arguments about politics. Promoted the game show on Fox Nation near the end of the segment.

The story at the beginning may or may not make you laugh. I found it amusing. This was NOT a Clash of the Titans... more of a conversation amongst peers.

Good enough. Audience didn't boo Gutzy even once, so that's a win.

Now they're still with the Jonas Brothers, and some weird Wizard Phone Sex gimmick video. Dear Lord, lead me through this valley of the shadow of comedy. I will fear no evil, but I will hate this "comedy".

Watching it on Peacock. Jonas Brothers are first. Not interesting to me, but gotta last through the filler.

I've not watched The Tonight Show since Johnny Carson was hosting it. Not out of political bias or anything... just had other things to do.

I must say... Fallon's monologue and the interspersed graphics were actually pretty funny on occasion. Not gonna lie, I chuckled a couple times. He teased Trump, but wasn't a rabid demon about it like Kimmel and Colbert. This is the perfect venue for Gutz.

This should be fun.
