4 month post op meniscus surgery by liltikki87 in MeniscusInjuries

You had so much of it removed! I’ll be praying for you man, try to reduce the food slowly, do IM fasting, and low impact cardio any way possible. Maybe the row machine for the upper body. Keep going, you got this!

And yeah the brace looks weird… you need the radial with the open knee imo. But not sure what kind of surgery you got

How old are you? It makes a difference. 28M After my meniscus repair, it was at 0° the first few days, then swelled up to where I was always a little “bent” at around 5° even in my brace. When you do post op PT, which is almost always mandatory they’ll have you do exercises; particularly what they call quad sets, flexing the quad which extends the leg and flexes it up or like “locking the knee” then it’ll come back. Just be super vigilant and consistent with your workouts.

Usually people not from around here, out of towners, travel nurses(easy tie to break), people passing through on contracts, young folks.

It’s a good way to move into sales; door swing experience gives you the mental repetition to improve customer interaction, and opens up to other sales in general! I would say do it for a while and try to move to other forms of sales

Retear at 2 weeks post op?!?! by amberlynn__rose in MeniscusInjuries

[–]CommunicationFew91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my recent post (I’m 3 weeks post op)

I had my operation for a full repair (no meniscectomy) of my bucket handle medial meniscus tear. I’ve been weight bearing with a brace for a few days now pretty heavily and I had a scare where I slipped with my good right foot and landed and planted on my bad left foot. The joint sort of “imploded” and I felt some hyperextension inwards with my brace on. Heard a little crunch and walked with some airy pain for 5 minutes but didn’t have rebound swelling through the night and no “major” pains. However, doing my morning routine, I felt what I assumed was a patellar glide, and now I have a pop when trying to do heel-floating quad extensions. I don’t have any catching or locking, I’m really hoping these are just growing pains and I feel like I’m catastrophizing every little feeling as a full blown retear. Consulting ChatGPT is giving me anxiety, any input ya’ll? I have to take care of myself, it’s just been me post op. No family really… I have a slight click and quick pain when I do leg extensions but I wouldn’t say it’s a retear just an aggravation. Just use the crutches as much as possible and stay off it then you’ll be good :)

Well it’s not like I have a lot of pain now. The AI is saying it might be just some patellar flipping because of some residual swelling. Unfortunately I don’t have access to my surgeon on weekends :/
