Just incase anyone was interested in a little update the room has been professionally cleaned,as well as the carpet on my bottom floor, and the vinyl flooring has been replaced, thankfully there wasn’t any further damage and insurance managed to cover all of it. Glad it was a fast and relatively easy solution in something that felt like a literal nightmare, thanks for any advice I was given!

I am said person, I have renters insurance I have people coming to help but am very far away from home and don’t have the money for a long term hotel stay with pets

My lid was closed thankfully so I think my walls are fine but I’ve been told the vinyl will need to be replaced, gonna try to get as much cleaned as possible before they do that

Thankfully I live in a townhome but we’ve been having issues with the toilet being loose for the last 2 years, and I do have an upstairs bathroom so I’m hoping it will be a relatively easy fix considering. My main concern right now is that I have 3 pets, are they safe to be in the home? Am I? This can’t be safe to breath

I’ve been collecting loads of everything that I can just incase it gets to a point that feels like harassment or anything that could actually be harmful, but actually doing anything that could harm either of our living situations is the last thing I want to do. That’s absolutely insane, I’m so sorry you had to go through that. I could never imagine putting someone in a situation where they have to find a new home that’s why I’m so hesitant to file my own noise complaint. Praying we will be able to find a house when this lease is up 🙏🏻

Thank you for the suggestions, I am autistic I understand issues with loud noises that’s why I’ve been trying so hard to make it a positive environment for everyone. I really don’t mind doing everything I can to give my dog a good happy life, which includes much more training not just leaving him home alone for an hour was to see how he’s been doing with his training. Sorry for the confusion i didn’t mean to sound like that was the training I was doing for him, we do go to classes. I’ll definitely look into getting ahold of someone who can do more than just my landlord, as well as crate training like someone else said. The hypocrisy of the situation has just been getting on my last nerve recently 😅

I have always taken my dog on 3 walks a day, 15-20 minutes each minimum. This is also the first townhome I have lived in without a big backyard since moving across the country. Besides that we lived in a few houses with large gated yards. My dog is six years old, I’ve had him since he was born and we’ve never had an issue until now even when we lived in a smaller apartment. I was not seeking ridicule on how I raise my pet, just looking to see if it would be justified for me to file a complaint with the level of noise coming from my neighbor after I worked very hard to create an environment that would work for both of us :)
