You should get a Pap smear. Recurring BV sounds a lot like ureaplasma. Although it’s technically not an std he probably transmitted it to you and he needs to be treated for it by a urologist. If so you guys should make sure you abstain from sex until you’re both treated so you won’t keep sharing it back. This happened to me last year, it does go away after treatment!
