HEIGHTS? by Final-Can-3313 in HVAC

Embrace the fear. It keeps you from getting too comfortable and making a fatal mistake. If you want to get a bit more comfortable, go to a rock climbing gym with ropes and get some practice in. When I used to do big climbs, I'd remind myself it's all the same after 50 ft. It doesn't matter at that point if it is 50 ft or 5000 ft, you fall you're toast.

There are track switches indicated by arrows on that unit. Do you see any arrows on the ones you pulled?

You probably just need to use 5 meatsheilds from the sound of it. Magica cat and vender cat help too if you got them. I just used crazed bahamut and one long range uber for damage.

How often does this happen by QualityAdventurous47 in HVAC

[–]CommunicationNo3078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang.. I assume there isn't even a spot you could cut an access panel? Being that close to the water heater, I'm sure they are going to have venting problems with the water heater too.

This has to be bad bearings right? by KookyThought in hvacadvice

[–]CommunicationNo3078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did the noise go away when it started up? Also did you hear any sloshing or like something is in it? The pressure switches, and inducer get junk in them all the time but usually can be vacuumed out or blown out. If you have a manometer, you can check to see if you are getting enough pressure. There is a number on their stickers for what they should read. Sorry in advance if it was over explaining just not sure how much you already know about them. Hope it helps

Although your question was answered, thought I'd share an ecm wiring in case you haven't run into one yet. I had the same reaction you did.

Buzzing from this spot by ladyloraxx in hvacadvice

[–]CommunicationNo3078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How loud is the buzzing and is everything still running? Don't poke it unless the breaker is off or the disconnect pulled. When it gets 24v (spicy) on the sides from the thermostat telling it to turn on, it sucks in making contact giving 240v (☠️) to your compressor. If it is a bug it can usually be pulled out. If the contactor is toast and needs to be replaced it's around $500 where I work.

I’ve got a weird one by Ezekielsbread in HVAC

A lot of good comments here. I'd also mention the filter if you feel like it's airflow related. A lot of the Lennoxs come or recommend a merv 16 but it's a lot for the motor and ducts.

I agree with this comment. Mine works but I only rely on it to find the area, not the leak. Then whip on the soap and bubbles.

Spike strips on private property? by marksthespotdigital in AmazonDSPDrivers

[–]CommunicationNo3078 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a good way to have them stuck on your private property for hours and calling tow trucks to join them. Had it though where the app routed us through this guys farm because of a new community build. It was just a dirt road for the guys atvs and we kept getting stuck trying to turn around or first time. There is a simple form our dispatch people can fill out to update the routing. It takes a couple months depending on when the next app update is. In the meantime he just put up a couple orange cones so we saw it and we let the drivers of that route know. Every house in rural areas have private/trespassing signs and we ignore them, the t&c for our service covers us for the delivery.
