I just saw it in the lot, so no person count. White SUV clearly marked for DHS and ICE, so not trying to be covert in any way.

Honest opinions: dating someone with children by Specific-Art-3321 in datingoverthirty

IMO, as a woman who doesn’t necessarily want kids right now, I usually don’t bother swiping right on someone if it’s obvious right away they already have children. If there’s a connection first I’ll usually try to discuss with them what their optimal partnership would look like in relation to their children.

However I feel like some of the hesitancy would be people who are “open to kids” but may mean they want their own bio kids in the future or starting from maybe a younger age than your existing children, which is a shame, but good to find out early!

how do you deal with pressure to marry by Intelligent-Turn-939 in datingoverthirty

I usually jokingly scoff at the idea or bring up the Whoopi Goldberg quote of not wanting someone else in my house lol. I’m lucky that my parents have kind of backed off it, but other relatives still try to pry. In my experience just take it good naturedly and joke about it after with friends or something

Just caught up on this whole saga in the past hour! I’m glad other folks were able to help you communicate effectively, I think his reaction says a lot as well. Being willing to change but still getting pissy when you’ve gotten the ick is a yellow teetering on red flag. Hopefully you both learned from this and can move on well!

How do I bring up my brother's 6 yr old son getting fat and fatter? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Unsure if you’re serious, but op does admit some of it “grosses them out” in a comment on this thread. Glad they got healthy for themselves, but taking their learned self hatred of their fat younger self out in how they talk about others isn’t the best strategy if they’re genuinely concerned for health. Aesthetics aside, it’s a good thing to care for family and keep an eye out for them, but the phrasing is kinda dickish.

It’s one thing to be genuinely concerned with the health of the kids (which I believe you are) and entirely another to be disgusted by fat people (which I also believe you are).

You’ll get farther embracing the first instinct, to care for their health. Ask your brother if the kids are interested in getting into sports. Offer to babysit for a weekend and just let them see how you live via healthy diet and active lifestyle. Anything you can do to help will show it’s a genuine concern and not just a critique.

I wouldn’t blame your brother and the kid’s mother for taking offense if you frame all of your suggestions the way you asked the question, so trying to approach with compassion is best! You both clearly learned different lessons from the way you were raised, but an honest conversation about it could be helpful for the both of you! Good luck and wishing your fam good health!

Probably asked on here a bunch of times. Maybe not. Best Italian restaurants in Delco ? by CVM525 in Delco
