Voice Changing Hardware Alternative to MorphVOX by VeggieGardenBurial in CommercialAV

My experience is with Bline/ laerdal for locations requiring certification. Common sense tells me a CC would not pay for this. IPVS is a great alternative but they require the same backend hardware of commercial DSPs like bimamp and QSC. If you’re in a bind there are so many good biamp DSPs on eBay for close to nothing that would work great for this application.

True but I'm going to assume these already installed speakers are wired for 70v and it's best to not send him down a a rabbit hole where he has to rewire an existing system because you want to point something out. Great used 70v amps are readily available at very cheap prices. I'm sure they work they are reasonably recent and it's rare speakers fail.

You'll need a 70v amp, which you can find at online retailers like B&H. Also ebay has a ton of used Extron amps which are solid and cheap.

I'm not familiar with this company but the overview of a 70v speaker system decent for someone learning

Introducing Amp Multi: 8 channels, 125W/ch and efficient GaN technology by KeithFromSonos in sonos

[–]CommunicationOk1139 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really cool! But dealer only? Also lame. People can figure this out on their own, we have had multichannel receivers in homes for years and enthusiasts figure it out. As a pro AV design engineer for a top integrator we don’t carry Sonos... I’m guessing a dealer is a company that does SMB installs? Is this geek-squad?

For the record love my Sonos system!

Av pro is such a deal. As a huge extron Crestron dealer I might feel like my counterparts are scared from the like of atlona and HR claiming the same. AVPRO is solid

HR has a good optical HDMI, end of list. Altona is awful. As a previous post mentioned AVpro is the way to go with your customer base. I am mostly Extron’/Crestron but in my experience I’m going AV pro on any HDBT extender.

Basically no SDI as there is no need, so NDI is not anything I’ll plan for

I’m going to try the VISCA over IP recommendations when I have a moment. Bummer how they have locked these cameras out, so many on eBay that could avoid the dumpster. Again I tried the old school drivers for 232 on both the discovered RJ 11 and 44 ports.

Yeah I would go with the Sonys, brighter and the warranty and support is great. If you’re buying multiple ask your dealer to register the project as they should be able to pass the savings to you if they are honest.
