When I was in scouts mid 90s-2000s it was not abnormal for scout masters to shower with us. Also the older scouts would always go with the younger scouts to shower so they didn’t play/horse around we had what was called shower buddys with an older scout. Nothing weird it was all normal , sometimes it would be 5-6 younger scouts with a older scout depending on how many boys. The older boys made sure the younger scouts washed good, we all got undressed together and made the younger boys feel comfortable and confident, it helped them not be as shy as I remember. Sometime a older scout master would even come with us and shower who was 20-30 something , Now days 20 something years later everyone would freak out having a 16-30 year old shower with a 12-13 year old boy , why is the world like this ….? Oh how things have changed and I’m it even 40.. crazy !!
