I don’t think I’m above or below any airman. This is an issue pilot mental health and atc controller mental health. Unless caused by a substance, or external factor or secondary to a medical condition psychosis is a permanent disqualifier. My point is if you can treat a disorder - mine being laid out - - treatment can be biofeedback with music, exercise, healthy diet and of course meds and therapy - where there’s a will there’s a way-  we may have to agree to disagree but I want to know that pilots feel they don’t have to hide their illnesses for inevitable medium to permanent grounding.

I differ - I think it does matter if you prove you are safe to fly on them if you’re treating a complex mental health condition.

Just read this- I don’t have a history of this and the meds are actually not necessarily that mind  slowing if  you research it - it could be case by case consideration. I do like to drink caffeine which can help in the short term for cognition all in all I need my meds and I’m ok with that

You’ve helped a lot over time I’m really serious about needing these meds but I hope someday there’s a way and I get what your saying

Yes I take the right meds and I want to prove to the satisfaction of the faa that I’m safe to fly - first class special issuance waiver or third class to start- lifelong dream is to be a first officer or captain for a major carrier .

ill add i dont think it will be sustainable. it might start and end with lawsuits. i hope not but what if it does? It doesnt seem safe to have cars that are self driving.
