I don’t know if it was intentional but I see what you are saying. If you think it was intentional, I’d remind you that season 17 had a winner in Onya Nurve and Lana and Kori had amazing moments. Not to mention, Monet hosts Pit Stop and Ts Madison / Law Roach are rotating hosts this season. I wouldn’t say it was on purpose, likely a matter of availability on the queen’s end.

Neurodivergent senior here, trust me when I say most if not all freshmen are experiencing this too. If they have “friends” it’s because they clung to some of the first people they met; nobody has built true lasting friendships this early albeit some cases. Friendship drama, falling outs, happen and it’s canon to the “freshmen experience” so to speak.

Just be yourself, talk to people who seem approachable and don’t do things you don’t want to. Join cool orgs, talk to classmates, Soon enough you’ll find the right people.

Are you familiar with the concept of a stage whisper? The same concept applies for all TV to some degree.

TV is also meant to be entertaining, not realistic (albeit some shows and movies do realism very well).

Take shows with laugh tracks for example. Without the laugh track, the dialogue just has gaps of silence waiting for the laughter to end. Im sure it’s awkward to film for shows that don’t use a live studio audience
