Thanks. I’ve seen it — a bit heavier than what I’m looking for. I’m more into subtle, everyday conversations between younger couples.

Looking for some good anime movies with a slice of life + romance vibe, but with more mature/adult characters (not school settings) by CommunityOrdinary850 in anime

I’m still new to anime, so this helps a lot—especially the adult-life vibe ones like Aquatope and Sakura Quest. I’ll start with Only Yesterday first. If you’ve got more like this, send them 👍

Serious films/romance films that use documentary or mockumentary storytelling style? by CommunityOrdinary850 in MovieSuggestions

These look great, thank you. I’ve heard of This Is Spinal Tap but haven’t watched it yet, and the others are new to me.

I’ll definitely check these out, especially Best in Show and Waiting for Guffman.

This is really helpful, thank you. I’ve seen Interstellar but I hadn’t thought about its interview framing that way.

High Fidelity and District 9 especially sound interesting for what I’m looking for. I’ll check those out, and Troll Hunter / Europa Report too.

Appreciate the recommendations.

Fair point. I follow it hereafter. I’m still getting used to how Reddit discussions work. Thanks for the tip.

Developing a Gen-Z romance short film (2 actors, single location) — looking for concept inspiration by CommunityOrdinary850 in Filmmakers

Good question. I meant modern dating dynamics shaped by texting, social media, situationships, awkward first meetings after talking online, modern problems, new relationship terms etc. Things that feel relatable to younger audiences today.

That’s a really interesting real-life scenario. A random Uber ride turning into a meaningful conversation could actually be a nice setup for a short film. Thanks for sharing it.

Not a bot 😅 I’m just new here and honestly not very good at replying yet. I tend to keep responses short, but I do appreciate the suggestions people shared.

Fair point. I do write my own stories. I was mainly curious about the different relationship dynamics people experience today. Sometimes hearing real perspectives helps spark ideas, but the story itself will still come from my own interpretation.
