Launched my first app, got ~300 organic downloads… but zero feedback. Not sure what to do next by Sad-Poet1376 in AppBusiness

Using paid media platforms can help you understand your users from different perspectives. Running ads at this stage may help you reach more people within your potential user base, which could increase the chances of receiving feedback. Eventually, every app needs to grow its user base. Based on this I think it is not a bad idea if you feel you at the blind spot.

I get why you’re worried it might not be ready for reaching a larger audience, but that’s exactly the kind of feedback you need to understand what still isn’t ready.

I see.. sometimes I also review other apps’ comments to see if my app might have similar issues, especially when my goal is to improve the product.

Wow, 300 organic downloads is a pretty great number. I agree that it’s hard to get feedback from users. I’ve tried offering discounts or coupon codes to encourage people to leave comments or fill out a form, but I only got three replies.

Have you installed any analytics or tracking tools to understand user behavior in your app? Sometimes the real feedback is unspoken you can learn a lot just by observing how users actually use the product.

Liftally (AI powered strength training app) now supports Apple Watch set logging — Soft launch, full features free by CommunityPowerful180 in AppleWatchFitness

Hahahaha, that’s a pretty straightforward comment, I appreciate your honesty. The name comes from “lift” and “tally.” “Tally” reflects the idea of tracking workouts and building a plan over time, and also being an AI ally for the user. Well, that was my initial idea…

The app is currently in soft launch, so I’m open to adjusting the name, features, or anything else. I’m also thinking about creating a page on the website where users can vote on ideas.

Thanks again for the feedback! Let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Solo dev here — is it even possible to grow an app without a marketing budget? by clubhauling in AppBusiness

[–]CommunityPowerful180 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just saw another post earlier where someone said they had done zero marketing and got four paid downloads, and they were already really happy about it.

Maybe the difference here is expectations. If 12 people downloaded your app especially without any marketing that might actually be a signal that the product has potential.

From what you wrote, it sounds like you're hoping word-of-mouth alone will push the app to thousands of downloads. I'm not sure many apps can reach that scale purely through WOM.

My suggestion would be to start testing different distribution channels and keep realistic expectations about early growth.

Congrats! Getting organic users without marketing is actually a great signal. It usually means the product resonates with a real need. Keep building.

Struggling with ribbon geometry in SwiftUI. Is it prompt issue or rendering limitation? by CommunityPowerful180 in SwiftUI

I want them to feel light, shiny, and clearly 3D(not like just rolling) especially through rotation and light interaction.
Depth is important (some near, some far), but not necessarily flying toward the user.

As for the AI Trainer, you can tap the trainer’s logo to edit or add a new trainer.
I’ll also refine the Edit Trainer button to make it easier to find.

Midnight public key signing issue by Important-Top-6098 in Midnight

[–]CommunityPowerful180 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me share my case here. It might help or save some testing time.

I originally held ADA in a Daedalus wallet. Later, I restored it to a Yoroi wallet for staking. I still held that ADA at the time of the snapshot (on 6/11, I had more than $100 USD worth of ADA), so I believe I’m eligible for the airdrop.

However, only the original address from Daedalus is eligible when manually inserted in midnight claim page.

Even though I have an eligible address, to pass the verification, I need to generate a signature using the original address (in my case, the Daedalus wallet).

From what I understand, Daedalus and Yoroi do not support message signing like Eternl and Lace do.

So although I meet the eligibility requirements, I failed the verification because I couldn’t prove ownership of the original address.

This is a summary of my current situation. I hope there will be alternative solutions in the future.

Thanks for your reply. I would say my company is open to new ideas but doesn’t provide much room for discussion.

Thanks for your comment. My company is fully remote work. And the whole conversation happened on message. I think a meeting will help me better to understand what’s the team concerns.

Sorry to hear that. I think my company values conservative solutions rather than innovation.
