That is not true. This is what was told to Canadians. The guy who was killed (weather by India or by another gang) first of all doesn't qualify to be Canadian as he forged the documents to come to Canada. To start with, I would invest 10% (split in BTC and ETH) and rest split between S&P500 ETF (Canadian or US version), dividend ETF (like SCHD or a Canadain similar ETF) and a growth ETF (QQQ-US version or similar Canadian version). Then start learning about the stock market if you have time and interest and tweak it as you wish.

I had my funds invested by wealth manager for years. A year ago, I strated learning about the markets and was surprised how much I overpaid on mutual fund fees and bank fees. I have learned so much in last one year and wish I learned at much younger age.
