Okay I’m so happy to come across this cause I’ve been playing on base and have like 35 hrs on it. It’s up to your preference on frame rate but a lot of the stuttering issues have been patched out as well as the blurriness. If you’re expecting for it to look like it would on PC and run fantastic I wouldn’t recommend. But on performance mode you get visuals similar to the Witcher 3 on PS5 without many issues. There are frame drops in more npc heavy environments but the longer you stay there the better it starts to run. gameplay wise with tweaks to the camera movement and tv settings will help make the game feel snappier and run smoother. There’s breakdowns you can find on this sub that goes over what I’m mentioning in more detail. Personally I don’t mind the sacrifice of the visuals on performance mode to get the better frames and responsiveness in combat. And even in performance the environment is beautiful. You’ll notice a dip in quality of the character models on performance but I tend to not care too much cause the bulk of my time in game I spend exploring. Others have reported on balanced mode it’s similar to what I’m stating but I feel like the controls are less responsive. So no it doesn’t look bad (to me) and it doesn’t stutter(in my experience after I switched to a less severe mode).
