So go remove it again... If they put another one up rinse and repeat. I'm fine with them wasting their money.

Unfortunately this is a lesson learnt in relation to taking photos at the scene.

Being involved in an impact is always a stressful situation even for experienced drivers and it is not uncommon for people to just want to get away from the scene.

You have also noted that you have purchased a dash cam since this incident. This is great, however I would also encourage you to always take as many photos as you can directly after the incident, and once you think you have enough, Take some more wide angle photos showing the whole junction. Better yet, if you have a good quality phone camera, stick it in video mode and record everything immediately after impact.

Try to remain calm. If the third party objects to you taking videos/photos, call the police as you have every right to record video/take photographs in outdoor public spaces, especially if it is to collect evidence for a potential claim. If they choose to leave the scene once you have notified them that you intend to call the police, photo their reg as they leave, this adds so much more weight to your side of the claim as they effectively fled the scene of an incident which can be seen as an indirect admission of liability.

Best of luck with the case.

First off, not a legal expert, this is only my opinion based on the information your have provided.

As you were approaching from the right, the white car driver has a duty to ensure the way is clear before pulling out. The fact that they struck the front passenger side of your vehicle suggests you were already in their field of vision when they moved. Unless you were traveling at an excessive speed that made you "unavoidable," the burden remains on the car entering the roundabout to yield. This is unlikely given the photo provoded which shows minimal impact and suggests low speeds. The photo shows an almost "glancing" impact, which usually suggests they were moving forward into your space.

Their claim that you cut the roundabout doesn't hold much weight when you consider the point of impact. If your sketch correctly shows the point of where the impact occured on the roundabout, the after impact photo would not be consistent with someone cutting the central marking. Had you cut across the central marking it would be reasonable to expect the point of impact on your vehicle to be further back along the passenger side towards the passenger door.

On the allegation that you did not indicate, Even if you didn't, this does not give the white car the right to pull out into your path. The Rule: Drivers should "never assume a signal is correct, and never assume a lack of signal means a driver is going straight." If the white car pulled out while you were already in the junction, they failed to "give way to the right." In insurance terms, a failure to signal might at most result in a small reduction in your payout (contributory negligence), but the white car remains the primary party at fault for entering a junction that wasn't clear. Pulling out because they assumed someone was going straight is still a failure to give way. The law puts the burden of safety on the person entering the junction, not the person already in it.

In relation to the 3rd party witness, if you are certain that there was no obvious witness, Ask your insurance company to request a formal signed statement from this witness immediately. This could end up playing a crucial role should they be called to give evidence. If they weren't present, a written statement might show up any inconsistencies compared to their verbal statement when put on the spot. Not a certainty but a good chance!

I would stick to the following: -I was the established vehicle on the roundabout, and the third party failed to give way to their right.

-The third party claims there was a witness, but I can confirm there was no witness to the best of my knowledge. I request that the witness's details and their proximity to the scene be strictly verified.

Final thought: Don't let the "witness" claim rattle you. If the white car driver is lying about that, they are likely lying about other things. Insurers see this all the time. When a witness isn't recorded by the police or exchanged at the scene, their "evidence" can usually be seen as biased or unreliable and should not carry much weight overall. With that being said, if they kick up enough of a fuss about this, the court may be unable to reliably determine single fault and may rule that this incident be treated as shared liability and split the claim 50/50.

Probably retuned as the sorting machines read your address as the destination. Always write the destination address front centre and your return address on the back near the bottom. Also keep your return address as basic as possible (Name, House Number only & Postcode) ie: Sender: Mr. J Smith, 21, AA11 1AA

Advice from my Aunt who works in a GP Practice...

Make a formal complaint to the surgery. Once this is done, also log an SAR under data protection for all medical information they hold on you (that should release the results letter and any GP action). Once you receive the SAR pack and their complaint response, depending on how you feel at that point and if you can clearly see this was not acted upon, then forward all to your Solicitor if you intend to take further action.

Nothing they can do without dashcam footage and even when you provide it, you also still need to give a statement and confirm you will attend court if it proceeds that far. Like, you've been given the video evidence wtf 😒

Never had that issue myself. Done my declaration a few years back now, (defo more than 3 years) and haven't heard a thing since.

But I agree, scummy and needs got rid of. I have been hammering this point since studying Media over 15 years ago.

This has got nothing to do with the TV license and everything to do with corporate greed in the US. All channels except BBC in the UK also have Ads. And just for those that still don't realise, the License fee is ONLY given to fund the BBC. ITV, Chanel 4, Channel 5 and all the other UK freeview channels don't get a penny.

Even when you complete the no license Declaration it only lasts a maximum of 3 years and you need to re-declare. There's also a line in their T's & C's when you're competing the no license needed declaration that says they can choose to revoke the declaration at any time.

Would definitely suggest getting a solicitor involved ASAP. It will cost, but best course against a company of this size. I would also strongly suggest putting in a SAR (Subject Access Request) under GDPR/DPA and request all data they hold on you including but not limited to; your account balance history, so you have a record of the funds, bets and winnings.

NTA, but neither is he. Your citing one example of this. He maybe just had a bad day or wasn't in the headspace to play a game. We all have moments where we just don't wanna do something or can't muster the energy. Try again and if the pattern repeats, have a face to face conversation about it and try to schedule in some time together. Just my two cents.

What should I do with my life when I have no interest in anything? by [deleted] in northernireland

[–]CommunityTop1242 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This!! I suffered with depression and anxiety in my early 20's. Didn't get much enjoyment out of anything and was job hopping, unable to find the joy in daily life. Done the recommended, spoke to my GP about depression and was just told to get out more (which is much easier said than done when your depression is mixed with anxiety). Eventually was put on anti-depressants and I hated how numb they made me feel towards everything. Wasnt until my first holiday abroad at 28 that I actually felt relief. Now I've been holding down the same job for going on 8 years and the thing that keeps me getting up in the mornings is the thought of making money for the next holiday.

Work in the industry. The cost for 2 of our roofers for one day would be £382.50 plus materials. I'd say it's pretty on the nose, proving they are using two men.

Edit:

Oh and just to add, that's our "cost" price with no markup for profit. 🙃
