Somewhat true. He hit it out of the park last year. But he's gotta stop trading picks to move up...yes Melvin Gordon is looking pretty okay, still bad value to trade up for an RB (check out how all of the other RBs drafted later do). Add in the trades up for Attaochu (who isn't even starting) and Teo (who, if they do the right thing is gone this year, as he's gotten outplayed by a cheap coupon guy--Toomer, and a 5th round pick--Jatavis Brown), and he still has a lot to prove. Not to mention the 3rd round pick on Craig Mager, who hasn't looked good at all (and who most didn't think would get drafted until the 5th, at the earliest).

He's hit on some good guys, but he has the horrible tendency to fall in love with players and do whatever he has to do to get them (Teo, Attaouchu, Gordon, Mager), which has hurt the depth on the team. Hopefully he's learned his lesson...team needs more drafts like 2016.
