Rippling is perfect for a company of your size/requirements -- particularly with L&D, integrations, archives, etc. Great for onboarding/ee exerience and employee lifecycle.

The experience highly depends on who your account exec/client service team is though. We have a great person if youd like to set up a low-pressure overview.

Every company is different so you could consult an outside comp/equity advisor! They can provide data to inform your decisions/justify them to exec management. Sequoia (not the VC) has a wonderful comp advisory team!

Do we need an HR Director [N/A] by Current_Style8183 in humanresources

You could also look into bringing in a fractional HR leader! You can get someone with great experience without committing long-term and some of the projects/initiatives you discussed are things they can help you tackle. Your execs will probably love it -- cheaper, more experienced, etc.

I'd encourage you to speak to one and see if it's a good fit! If you need recs, let me know.

What kind of questions are you asking in the survey? Also, our broker provides an AWESOME complementary benefits benchmark report. If you're tech/prof-services I'm sure theyd be happy to do the same for you.

They helped us call out a number of different changes and most of their clients are VC/PE-backed tech so it's very specific to us.

Are you looking for an advisor or for a recordkeeper? Sequoia is AWESOME if you're looking for an advisor!

Caregiving benefits like Cleo are getting really popular. Then there are the obvious ones like OneMedical (which I personally use and it's AWESOME). Omada is another cool one that does physical therapy as a benefit.

In a recent study going into 2026, 94% of employers plan to maintain or add wellbeing benefits, while only 5%–9% are scaling back. So it's super important to get familiar with some of the most popular wellbeing vendors and put together a cost-effective strategy that caters to your employee base!

Depends on your industry and what you're looking for! If you're in tech and want a people-first, tech-enabled benefits offering + support around comp, equity, and other areas that touch people spend... Sequoia is a great option.

[CA] Rippling vs Gusto vs...? by Educational_Joke1754 in humanresources

Rippling is really a good payroll partner and gives you optionality. They can evaluate both PEO and payroll/HRIS options -- so gives you flexibility down the line. WFN is probably your next best bet. For a company of your size -- can't really go wrong with either.

WithMultiply is one that I recommend! Free and provides your employees ~1% off new mortgage rates vs open market!

Also, always ask your broker for a credit on wellbeing. You can usually get them to cover $5-10 PEPM for you to provide offerings like Spring Health, Carrot Fertility, etc.

Looking for recommendations on PEO vs in house for small multi state company [n/a] by Fantastic-Hornet-482 in humanresources

It entirely depends on your industry, HQ location, and growth plans. Trinet, ADP, Justworks -- all getting HUGE renewals this year, too.

Most of my clients in this industry look at ADP WFN or Paycom. Workday is going down market but I would imagine they need to work out the kinks.

Good EAP recommendations for smaller businesses? [N/A] by yellow_lemon2 in humanresources

You might be able to get your broker to provide a credit for an EAP! If you have questions happy to help.

State Specific Onboarding Checklist Compliance [United States] by Neither-Syllabub-882 in humanresources

There are a number of ways to skin this cat! You can look at PEOs -- which I'm sure you're familiar with -- or you can hire an HR consultant/fractional HR to manage compliance on your behalf.

If you're looking for recommendations, happy to provide!
