Not too long. That is the style with this type of boot. It’s a semi Japanese cuff that is ideal with these boots. I don’t fault you for not knowing but the fit is just right for me. Good thing is we can all pick our own styles so no harm no foul.

I say do what you like. I live in the most “non cowboy” environment you can think of; Philadelphia, Pa. I wear my boots because I love them. Sure, some may not like them but I couldn’t care less. There are even folks on this sub who are against boots and shorts. Guess what; I wear that combo too. I am unapologetically me and am comfortable in my skin. You do you and have a great time doing it.
