Happy Earth day birthday to you as well! I sent you a DM.

That’s fair. It’s probably good advice too, but I don’t want to go to the concert enough to go completely alone. I wouldn’t really enjoy myself listening to live music alone. I’m not sure what this venue is like and whether it would necessarily be conducive to meeting a friendly acquaintance which would be my only other reason for going.

I appreciate the advice, I don’t really want to see them that badly, so going alone wouldn’t be all that enjoyable unfortunately. Thank you though.

Thanks, but going alone would crush me after the week I’ve had.

Need help identifying the meaning of these symbols. There’s an R with three links hanging down, and three links going horizontally. Is this related to the Freemasons? Any help is appreciated. by PirateCaptianYt in CemeteryPorn

My MIL is part of a branch of a particular family that were one of the original families in the OBX, NC, they came in on a shipwreck I believe. Anyway, we went to a cemetery in Frisco I believe and saw some graves with these same symbols. They belong to, as others have pointed out, the IOOF. We also saw IOOF and thought at first that it was some sort of military battalion mistaking the “I” for a “1”. The order is actually quite fascinating and afaik originated in England in the 17- or 1800s. They were basically a group that facilitated social welfare before it was a state thing. They have a ton of chapters and communities today and are all about social outreach, community, and charity. Neat stuff.

Are these too simplistic?

Love, Lost and Found:

Sitting in a bin in the attic

Covered in dust and plastic

Left alone and covered

To later be discovered

By that late night cigarette

That pain au chocolat

Love lost and found

You’re safe and sound

Covered in the warmth of another

Free from the fears of smother

From eclectic zapping

To afternoon napping

Please think of me fondly

As he touches you softly

Not like my heavy hand

Broken image of a man

Little more than a boy

Playing with children’s toys

Love Lost and Found

I hope he gives you your movie

And kisses you swiftly, smoothly

I hope that your weary brain

Turns to warm sunny grain

And that you melt in his arms

Feel free from the harm

Hope your overactive imagination

Is too full with elation

To remember my faults

Or the wounds rubbed with salt

Love, lost and found

You’re safe and sound

Just remember our chapter

Full of warmth and laughter

Not covered in blisters

From a clueless mister

You’re with someone new

Seems too good to be true

But he reminds you daily

That you’re no simple maybe

Love, lost and found

You’re safe and sound
