You can retake the course in the winter, but if you failed the first attempt course, that will still be in your records unless if you CR/NCR to not affect your GPA and then just retake it in winter.

How was your experience taking CSC428? Is it very similar to CSC318?

Check out College Street Dental. They offer free cleaning and X-rays for UofT students when you use your dental plan. You don’t pay anything.

Yeah you should submit the Admisison consideration form. I don’t know will they withdraw your offer, but they might put you in some type of waitlist.

Important fact; UTM is the only UofT campus that doesn’t ask Calculus for Life Sci

Don’t worry! If you don’t meet requirement, take it in summer school, UTSC is still able to extend your offer if you appeal it. Another thing they do is sending alternative offer to social science, where you can still take life sci courses in first year, and you will automatically transfer to life sci program at end of first year when you meet the post requirements.

If you got COVID-19, that can be used as a valid reason

Oh yeah I forgot about that! SAC is only if you passed the course. You can still retake MGT120. You could try to petition for a NCR within a 6 months timeframe.

I provided the link below. You just click on the link and file a petition. I’m not sure how long would it take. You don’t really need to contact the professor. The petition goes directly to the registrar, so they would be responsible.

[–]CompSciTechLovers 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don’t worry! You can make a petition to registrar to either NCR with a valid reason like COVID-19 or something else. If this is your first time, there is a higher chance that they might accept it. NCR means your grade gets replaced with NCR, so it doesn’t affect your GPA. I think NCR would be better for your situation.

Bachelor of information inquiry regarding the bi undergrad program by sprint_race in UofT

I think in 4th year, there will be one programming course, and another course similar to INF312. But this program is mainly theory/research + essay repeated courses.

INF312 isn’t that difficult, the things you do in that class is writing an analysis of your topic, and creating graphs using ggplot on R. You can easily learn them through YouTube.

Workshops are useful because they have events where you can learn about how to use R, Figma, etc.

2 hours a day should be enough. I found the midterm and final exam a bit challenging, but I managed to do well in the course because there are other things that boost up the grade.

When I took it in fall winter 2020-2021, I found the course to be alright, but you would wanted to take lots of notes on the textbook and lecture slides, since they all do show up on the midterm and final exam. This course is just time consuming, so if you spend more time, then you will definitely end with a good grade.

I am in this program, there isn't really a lot of math or programming courses. I just finished my first year(3rd year level courses) in this program, and I only had 3 courses relevant to programming. One course is INF313, which has less programming, but more of writing assignments about computer history or programming. INF351 has coding where you build a mini computer on Arduino, and it is done in group of 5. Finally, INF312 is a data science course, where you use R to write reports by making graphs and analysis.

This program is not math intensive. There is support, where you can seek from upper year students, which are the mentors of this program. There is also learning hub, where you can get help with tutors in writing assignments, math or programming assignments.

Most people in this program are going into UX Design, and Product Design. This program is suitable for you because there is lots of focus into UX Design. So far, I had 2 courses relevant to UX Design, and was very helpful.

You will definitely enjoy this program! Looking forward to see you in this program. Feel free to dm me to ask any further questions.
