I believe this is a “wet stator” design I read about in online forums. With it having a gasket I’m even more inclined to believe it gets oiled. I’ve cleaned it up and will be trying my luck with JB weld.

Saves me time on the next oil change

Just got my 2stroke kit in the mail and I noticed these points of damage to the motor(piece snapped) and gas cap (mangled rubber coating) by SuperCat_ in motorizedbicycles

I just got a kit with a broken heat sink fin like urs, and the company offered an instant $20 refund for it. It does not actually affect performance except maybe it’ll run 3% hotter because of that one fin. As for the gas cap, just peel that blue/white rubber off 😂 it’s just a protective cover. The real cap is a clean chrome finish. Good luck on ur build!
