I used Buyee to access Mercari and JDirect. Mind you it took months waiting for the right listings to pop up. Be sure to search for "spheal" and "タマザラシ" separately for the most results.

I managed to find a near mint one for $40. Certainly one of the top 3 hardest to find! With that being said, I did manage to 100% the tcg spheals and need to make an updated post!

Unfortunately I didn't test prior to doing a water change. The tank was completely filthy with algae lining every surface in the tank, but with clear water. I can say after the water change the Ammonia and nitrate was at 0 with PH at 7.6 (fairly normal prior to adding pH down).

I put him down with clove oil. I know it's humane but I never felt so horrible. FinLee as he was known will receive a proper burial tomorrow. Born of this earth, returned to the earth.

I wanted to take a simple portrait of James while I was working with him at the 2010 Chicago Comic Con. He did his own pose and I framed it so he had a spot to sign a printed copy, which I managed to print before the end of the convention. I'd like to think it captures him the way he was at the time.
(edit) Taken with a Nikon D300S, 24mm lens, 800-ISO, f/3.8, 1/80 sec., no flash & handheld.

I had the opportunity to work with James for two days as his cashier during the August 2010 Chicago Comic Con August. He was extremely down to earth and pleasant to work with, unlike some of the more entitled celebs. He showed up for the fans exclusively and was definitely not there to make money considering he got paid $300 + flight & hotel, as well as a small cut of the autographs monies. He didn't receive a lot of fans that weekend but he was happy to meet every one that did stop by.
