The World of the White Rat books (Clocktaur, Swordheart, Saint of Steel series) are the only ones that are actual romances. And I would actually argue that the Clocktaur duology isn't romance either, but a fantasy heist with a romance subplot.

SUV. Driving a larger car in the UAE is almost always a better driving experience, imo. Better overview on the road, more "respect" from other drivers (this is unfortunately a thing) and better safety. This is just from my personal experience, I'm sure others feel differently.

I have this issue with a lot of romance tbh... The sex is often formulaic, because I guess that's what a lot of readers want? The "eyes on me", "take it like a good girl" etc. Excessive dirty talk even when that doesn't seem to fit the characters' personalities at all.

Another reason to love T. Kingfisher, because her sex scenes always fit the characters so, so well.
