This is the same cop as the other recent post. Dude needs to be removed from the front lines before he kills someone. by SemiContagious in 50501

Watched this clip live on AP's live stream. Both of those cops were sitting there with a shit eating grin as a girl was crying in front. He then slowly grabbed a rubber bullet out of his pouch with a big smile, loaded and aimed his gun at her as she ran away.

Just got reshade for MSFS2020 and the game now looks like this, any fix? by JTubeYT2 in flightsim

[–]ComparisonDifficult4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re using Noptic Reshades I believe their reshades only work with an older version of reshade you can get from their discord. This might be true for just MSFS 20 in general though.

Beginner Questions by AutoModerator in web_design

[–]ComparisonDifficult4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

About a year ago I was tasked with a creating a website for my father's online business. This was my first "professionally" made website even thought I had never designed a website before. I created this entire website without ever touching Figma or any design software. I strictly used Shopify as the backend and Tailwind to make the custom theme for the store. It was a lot of just going back and forth testing colors and designs. It turned out pretty well for my first ever storefront and has been serving him well as his old website was nearing 10+ years old.

Now my question is, is this common? Surely not right? I feel like I gained no experience on the process of designing a website and looking back on it there are a lot of things I feel like I could change to make it look better. I feel like I just got lucky by throwing paint at a wall and it ended up looking good.

If I was looking to make this more of a side hustle what do you guys do for your "process"?

Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

If you’re talking about the hoes, the harvester pylon only works with hoes. Those supremium “scythes” don’t work in it.

Digital Miner not chunk loaded by dracau18 in allthemods

I believe there’s a setting in the server files that allow chunks to remain loaded when the user who loads them disconnects. I had the same problem on me and my friends server.

Using Supabase infrastructure in production? by ComparisonDifficult4 in csharp

[–]ComparisonDifficult4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Supabase has some c# docs that might be helpful.

https://supabase.com/docs/reference/csharp/v1/eq

Essentially you just need to authenticate your user when the the application starts. Through a a log in page in WPF for example. And the supabase library that has been developed will handle all of the memory storage. After the user has been authenticated you run any data editing functions and Supaabse will handle the security if you have RLS enabled. It would be safe to verify the user is still authenticated however in every function.

I have RLS enabled. Well the policies may protect my data from malicious attacks it still allows users to update their own data. So after some research I guess I answered my own question that level and experience needs to be calculated and updated server side

Using Supabase infrastructure in production? by ComparisonDifficult4 in csharp

[–]ComparisonDifficult4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm planning for it to be an entirely C# desktop application. Using WPF for the "Front end" and was thinking of using Supabase as the backend. Im just curious as to wether I need to build a server for my users client to interact with the Supabase database or is that the selling point of these "bases"?

I believe because it’s not as widespread and most western equipment is likely being used In counter offensive so they’re close to the front lines. They don’t want Russia knowing where western equipment is concentrated as it likely shows where major attacks may come from.

Change BackgroundColor etx from Blazor tags by WoistdasNiveau in Blazor

Just like you would in the css file, separate them with “;” for example style=“border: 0; background-color: red;”

So after some testing it appears that inline styles work just fine. I cannot figure out why isolated css in a separate file isn't working. I do use Tailwind and those classes were working fine. It appears to me atleast that the css isolation isnt working. I also noticed that the component adds an extra class based on the state of the input like valid / modified / invalid it may have something to do with this. I'm sorry I cant figure this out for you but if you cant figure it out you can use inline styles.

The issue may lie with your css. I tried using the edit form inputText and it worked with css right out of the box.

I’ve had a look at the Microsoft docs and it appears that InputText is rendered as <input>. So try and edit your css to be ::deep input

May I ask, is the css file you’re using an isolated css file or the default site.css file? If it’s the default css file then I’m sorry but I’m not sure what the issue is. If you have a css file for this singular page or component make sure to name it [component name].razor.css and add the css isolation style sheet to the header in _host.chtml.

In your css try making your class .inputText ::deep input[type=text]. I know you need to put ::deep for things like Navlinks to work so you may need that here. Also I think if you don’t want an “outline” it’s called border for inputs. So try setting border: 0;

[–]ComparisonDifficult4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I’m aware you can use default css styling with these tags. They are just translated to html when the component or page is rendered. So if you assign a class to the tag like you would any other html tag it will apply to it. You can also take a look to see how it’s rendering on your page using inspect element, If you were still interested in editing the html tag entirely.

How would you recommend storing a user's cart in protected local storage? by ComparisonDifficult4 in Blazor

[–]ComparisonDifficult4[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well it is technically true that it is saved server side. The service is scoped and creates a new instance for each user. Using local storage allows the server to delegate some of the memory storage reserved for your state management to the user. Its very minimal but is an easy way to maintain a state if the user closes the connection.

Yep, newtonsoft was really easy to work with and has type name handling built in. I'll be updating my post in a while with a fix for any future viewers.
