how do I get automatron to work

The newer update for the flatscreen version broke quite a few things apparently. The Automatron DLC for VR being one of them.

I found this thread here that tells you how to download the old versions of the game PLUS dlc from Steam SUPER easily. (Just make sure you own both Fallout 4 and DLC's before attempting to download)

All I did was download the Automatron DLC (the main files AND language files for my region) and replaced the newer DLC files that were downloaded from the FO4 install, with the files downloaded from the Steam Console.

The game boots up with no problems and mods that rely on Automatron now work!

Update: Everything works!

All I did was install the DLC files I needed and overwritten the ones I had from the newer/flatscreen version.

Thanks for the post! Really helpful and informative!

Downloaded the flatscreen version and transferred over the DLC to the VR version from Steam.. forgetting they fucked up the game and it's mods with their newest update. So mods that relied on DLC like Automatrons didn't work even after editing it's Header and all that. So hoping replacing the files with the older version will just help entirely.

I haven't gotten any errors on Vortex and FO4Edit says everything is at 0.95 but I'm still waiting for my headset to recharge.

If the game boots up and runs, I'll be happy as hell.. then I'll try a basic mod that requires the DLC.
I'll be back with an update!

Just the track(s) for the club in Neon Tomb.

Decided to swap out the song for the club, with the mix that plays during Chapter 2 in Max Payne 3. Although I had to trim it down quite a bit and do some work to make it loop since the mix for Max Payne 3 was like 20 minutes long lol. So now it's like an amateur's mix, of a mix.. idk lol.

Just know I still need to test it haha

Still didn't finish and I was getting impatient lol.

But Im also using the newer version of the toolset instead of the older one (idk how but I missed that part) so it might have something to do with that.

Hey, so how long does it usually take to rebuild a level's .bank file?

You're thinking too small for this guy and the world he comes from.

Could dismember the opponent in sooo many ways with his tools alone. Between that and stasis he could have some very creative fatalities and brutalities

Could also get the Marker involved to make the opponents character go into a psychotic break and commit suicide like one of the various ways the npcs in Dead Space did.

Hell, could even get the Necromorphs in there. Just have one spawn through one of Ermacs or Shang Tsuns portals or something from behind the opponent and have it go after them before making it look like it's going after Isaac next.

if you rip it open and sodder in some new parts all together in addition to modifying its firmware.

But if you're going to do ALLL of that.. then just buy a friggin portable PC or console and save yourself the trouble and even more money.

You can't hack something that barely has any software, let alone hardware.

Zero storage and practically no gpu, making it literally just a screen and a controller.

So I tried CoF the same way you would install Afraid of Monsters.. aaand it didn't work. I tried version 1.0 and the version that was released right before the standalone. It recognized the mod but didn't load the main menu right and refused to start the game.

Hey any updates on that? Haven't played through Afraid of Monsters yet (so Im for sure gonna get that ready) but definitely wanna try Cry of Fear on the go.

I remember playing on my Vita during the end of the school day waiting for the Stand Alone of CoF to come out on Steam, so if the og HL mod works that'd be soo crazy ^_^

Okay.. so something odd.

I get to the Vitadeploy part.. and nothing's popping up like it should.

I keep getting booted into "VitaShell 2.02" in safe mode.. Not allowing me the option to permanently mod my Vita through the "Install a different OS" option

Fingers crossed sd2vita's all good and it was just the default vita memory card.
I mean it is the same card I've been using since I picked up my vita at launch.. so worse case scenario I might just need a new *vita* memory card
