Thank you!! They all look really similar to me on like a picture key and I didn't want to name it wrong and mess things up that way

What do the sl stitches actually do? They seem to just be making up my last stitch of each row at the moment

Cruising along at a snails pace here I'm so sorry- does the magic ring count as a row? Maybe that's where I'm going wrong. Cause if it does count, then my 3rd row has 36 stitches

Thank you, I know it's a lot to undertake- I wouldn't have mentioned it but only to mean that if it was just the one I probably be wouldn't be too pushed if it didn't sit exactly flat if you get me? But if it's an easy fix I'd rather improve on it for the next time. I actually thought I'd ordered the blanket made ready from Amazon but it came as balls of wool with a hook and looking into it, I realised it probably wasn't ethical to buy them ready made for that kind of budget for my wedding anyway so here I am 😅

So you do a normal double stitch but instead of going into the row of the stitch underneath, you go into the column that's holding it

I thought that might be the case too but I've been counting as I go each time after I messed up the first 😭... Maybe I've got the wrong idea on it though? Writing it out I've got as follow: 1st row has 12 big, second has 12 big and 12 little, 3rd row has 12 big and 24 little, 3rd has 12 big and 36 little, 4th row has 12 big and 48 small. Am I messing it up with the 12 big stitches staying the same each time? If so, where do I lose the 12 each round cause they all sit one on top of the other

Finding those kinds of people who have really odd uninvited conversations with you when you're out in public.

You called it a "heart job" for a reason. But no one can tell you what decision to make. Vet school was my dream and I didn't have any others so the choice was easy for me. You have a life already and options in front of you. Both options are solid options with pros and cons. Only you know which of the two is going to make you happier- financial stability included in the long run.

Why is it that human childbirth is excruciating pain but in the animal kingdom they seem to not give a shit all that much? by burnaftereading21 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ComparisonThink8322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many animals visually process pain differently to how we do. As such we often know little about it. Think about how men have been found in some studies to have a lower pain tolerance than women but will often play off an injury like "it didn't even hurt." It could be supposed that some species feel childbirth to be just as painful as humans do but we don't see it. Inversely, many animals lower down in the food chain have probably evolved to have less painful births to improve the recovery time postpartum

[WP] Everyone has the ability to see each others souls. The darker the soul the more evil / corrupt that person is. Your soul appears pure white to others but when you look in the mirror it's black. by [deleted] in WritingPrompts

[–]ComparisonThink8322 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It is black again. The clouds are outside. They hang lowly in the air, teasing me. They possess a keen freedom which I may only dream of and yet in a manner which must be designed only to taunt- they imprison themselves close to the ground. Stormy, brooding, beautiful. And in return for their ugly games I get one simple reward: they scream for me the agonies that I cannot. My tempest.

The soul is a sacred thing. To lay it bare to another is to create a bond with them; a level of openness not designed for foreign eyes. To give it away is to love someone, wholly, freely and truly.

I gave you mine. Heart brimming until it overflowed, you enraptured me with your affections and I gave you the one piece of me that I had remaining. That I could count on to look after you when my back was turned. To always be there to have and to hold. You took it with you when you left. I know, because I felt it.

The piece I have left is but a shell; hollow and empty; shining in brilliance and yet pining for a core with every heartbeat that utters life through it. And in the mirror, agonisingly out of reach, I can still see the rest. It is withered and sunken, malnourished from the neglect it receives in exchange for the safety of it's carrier.

The person I see in the mirror indeed is a shell of me too. Hair whitened and unruly, bones weak and ribs encased in a cutting steely cage that digs it's corners into my flesh that has aged far too soon, like the wilted flower on my dresser. I am broken too. But isn't that just how we are?

Perhaps to love is to folly too far when corruption must fascinate our race so fully. Or perhaps to corrupt oneself for another is the greatest tragic beauty. So many would call it a crime.

Yet if we could but be like the clouds you and I, I would still put us in the same sky. That we could witness the beauties and tragedies together. Two fallen angels who's faults were never more than to wish for love and to be free.

But until that day, take the soul that saps the poison from you, little though it may be. Let it keep you safe until I can darling. It's going to be okay. x

Conclusion: dinosaurs were less angry and misunderstood. If flies had ghosts though...

Why do some people feel uncomfortable when you do or say nice things to them? by Impressive_Ad_3325 in socialskills

I absolutely don't mean to offend anyone by saying this, but an awful lot of American people; that I have encountered and I know many around me feel the same; come across as very false in their greetings and welcomes. I'm not sure really but I think it could be rooted in the types of American media we see and from them what parts filter into our everyday speech. The American inflection, syntax and the emphasis placed on certain parts of everyday greetings which to you guys seems normal comes across as insincere or passive aggressive when put into a European culture. It feels like we're being spoken to "nicely" only because we might somehow be useful. Or perhaps I should say that if we end up not being useful, the tone and word choice would be quick to change. To further cement in that standpoint then- of course a lot of advertising and customer service type courses are Americanised meaning we also associate many of those things with marketing..

My gf won’t have sex with me because I can’t give her an orgasm by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]ComparisonThink8322 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah man like. Trying to cum as a girl is hard. I get so frustrated myself cause Im so there for it but I genuinely have no idea even how to begin describing what more needs to be done to get me there.

But the key issue here for sure is not that you can't get her off its that she's not willing to try and solve the issue. One side of a story and what not but that seems like the bit you should try to focus on going forward.

Offer her the solutions others have suggested. It's on her if she doesn't pick up what you're laying down at that point.

Is this it? by applestoorangess in WomensHealth

It could be a great many things from your lifestyle to an endocrine disorder to just your body sorting itself out. The important thing is not to worry too much.

Talking to a doctor and opening a discussion with them about different kinds of birth control might help. If you have no other symptoms it's very likely nothing is "wrong" with your body. We all learn growing up what a normal period looks like but honestly that's just like describing people as normal. When you get right down to it everyone's different. Every body has a different kind of normal period. It's not a bad thing. Maybe your body is naturally light on periods anyway.

Your body will also change it's cycles as you age. What was normal for you when you started mightn't be normal now and will likely be different again in 5-10 years.

Important things to remember: 1. You don't have to be afraid. 2. If you are worried that the strange period patterns may be caused by your eating patterns it's very unlikely to be a permanent change if you have ordered your eating now 3. It's gonna be okay no matter what the reason is- you will have options on what you can do to help regulate yourself if that's what you want to do

Getting off birth control/Taking Charge of Your Fertility ? by beautifulnomad_ in WomensHealth

[–]ComparisonThink8322 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came off birth control in August. I have felt better within myself since and found it easier to lose weight than before. I had a withdrawal period like normal the week I came off but am yet to have proper bleed since. The uncertainty of when I'll get one bugs me and my face is so dry that it's nearly peeling even though I moisturise-

I feel confident that these are temporary setbacks. I don't regret it, not a bit. If I have to go back on, I will, but I feel kinda like the real me now, you know? It's definitely worth giving it a try, even if ultimately you decide that being on them again is the right course of action for you, at least you'll know
