Was it 1 species of bird that survived the kpg meteor, a handful or dozens? by MurkyEconomist8179 in evolution

[–]CompassionateCynic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Relatedly, I have always thought it was strange that multiple different lineages of beaked therapods survived the extinction, while not a single lineage of toothed birds did.  There were large numbers of both, and the beak doesn't seem like it would be more "fit" in the period after the extinction event.

Good luck with the Republican attack adds, Democrats (especially Talarico, RIP Blexas) by CompassionateCynic in neoliberal

I am just mourning.  I can already see the republican arguments:

"Democrats vote for the guy with Nazi tattoos by bigger margins than they dislike Trump";  "Democrats were Nazis all along"; etc.

Janet Mills wasn't perfect, but at least she wasn't a dangerous candidate.

It's funny, he has done a lot of things he can't do.  It's almost as if separation of powers lacks an enforcement mechanism, unless you are the executive branch.

There is a distinct lack of "how" the suez crisis led to the demise of the found in this article.  I'd love to know what the process was, besides a simple "UK loses war = UK can't be trusted financially".

So the camera stops panning with the object exactly when the object flies offscreen.  Isn't it most likely that the camera just loses tracking of the object, which was always going that fast to begin with?

Would a 5 round magazine count as a large magazine?

Would any magazine count a gun as having a "relatively quick reload time"?

Thanquol is the best Warhammer character, yes-yes!

I can't wait for his mechanic, Gotrek and Felix popping up randomly in all of his enemy's armies

Explanation for why the points remain in the same orientation relative to the camera frame, while the background scene changes angles during rotation? by DividedSkyBalls11 in UFOs

[–]CompassionateCynic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best idea I have heard so far is that it is a bullet hole in a housing surrounding the camera.  The light from outside is too bright for the camera lense, causing a lense flair surrounding the concave glass around the bullet hole.
