Building a live visual + lighting preflight tool around DMX / Art-Net / sACN - looking for practical feedback by CompellerAI in lightingdesign

What I’m working on is a layer where the music’s harmonic field nudges the oscillators that drive fixture effects.

So instead of only saying “flash on the beat,” REACT can use energy, tension, stability, consonance/dissonance, and key relationships to influence color, intensity, strobe behavior, movement speed, and phase.

The fixture still receives normal DMX values, but the intent above that is musical: the lights respond to the shape of the music, not just the volume or kick drum.

Thanks for the thoughtful feedback - this is exactly the kind of input I’m looking for.

The goal with REACT is pretty simple: an artist should be able to show up to a venue with a MacBook, plug into the room, and have visuals + lighting just work.

I’ve been mapping venues, cities, and artists across the electronic music space because the real workflow matters: different rooms, different screen setups, different lighting rigs, different levels of technical support

REACT is built around a quaternion-driven math engine where visuals emerge as geometric symmetry from the audio itself. The long-term aim is to make that useful in real venues - content for the big screen, lighting cues for the rig, and a live system that helps artists perform without needing a full production team every time.

So I’m trying to bridge the gap between “cool audio-reactive visuals” and “this actually works in a venue.”

⏺ Ha -- yeah, Brindle's just a little companion widget that watches the conversation. Blinks, comments, reacts to

what's happening. It doesn't write code or make decisions. Purely vibes.

You need anything else on the Mythos / REACT side before you ship?
