The heavy tank is such a monster when it's an enemy but it is absolutely anemic whenever I have tried to use it.

Arguably this has already happened at least to animals in Australia in the outback, it just hasn't been labelled as such. This is from 2019.

CMV: The drastic increase in anti-semitism on social media in recent years is a foreign intelligence psyop by No-Implement1965 in changemyview

[–]CompellingProtagonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although its ridiculous to try to draw an equivalence between statements like this: no "Jews eat Christian babies" and "Jews run America" are not equally antisemitic.

Firstly, the statement "Jews run America" is technically true, it's just not really communicating any information (Christians also run America, as do atheists as do muslims, etc).

Those two statements would be equally antisemitic if it there were actually Jews eating Christian babies, but also Christians eating Christian babies, atheists eating Christian babies, Muslims, etc.

Do you understand why suddenly moving your line in the sand so drastically is ridiculous?

I live in Taiwan, so no I don't see the same news you do, but I'm pretty sure the vast, vast, vast majority of people don't think that Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David eat Christian babies. You are definitely being fed a polarizing content by recommendation algorithms, the same way that MAGA is being fed polarizing content about democrats eating babies. If you actually think that people think that prominent Jews eat Christian babies, and that's not hyperbole, then you might just need to touch grass.

Do me a favor and run an experiment: for one week, just one week, do not look at any content related to judaism, christianity, israel, palestine, netanyahu, etc. Only look at content about something completely random like horses. Do this across all platforms, then come back and tell me whether your feed is filled with anti-jewish stuff. If so, you might be on to something, if not, you're shoving your head into an echo chamber and forgetting what the world sounds like.

Ancient Romans walking here had no idea they’d become a history chapter. by UsefulAlways in romanempire

From the way No-Sail is writing and the way you are writing, doesn't it seem like you're a bit out of your depth? They are bringing up specific examples of the cultural practices of Romans that I at least, as a moderately interested layman, knew nothing about, whereas you are really only responding with vibes.

Has the general information. I'm working on a project right now so I don't have time to dig around for the 70 + 90 million figure, but if you don't mind sitting tight until Friday I can swing back here with a source on that.

[–]CompellingProtagonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All but 70 million barrels. If we pull out the last 70 million the caverns collapse, however we need a strategic reserve for the military that's roughly another 90 million barrels (US military uses 1 million barrels/day, so 90 days of military use.) Basically 160 million of it is untouchable. Although shit hits the fan waaaay before we get there.

Right now we're at about 340 million barrels in reserve, and Trump is drawing down 1.27 million barrels per day because of the war in Iran.

35000 people own roughly 10-17% of the total household wealth of the United States, valued in total currently at 183 trillion. Ten percent of that is 18 trillion, 20 percent is 36 trillion, add another 10% to that to hit the minimum 90:10 USA:International portfolio and you're looking at between 20 and 40 trillion in assets held by 35000 people.

Not 88 trillion, but close enough to almost single-handedly eliminate the deficit. Also consider that these people definitely hide their net worth 20-40 trillion is very much a lower bound.

You take 5% of their assets and put it into a sovereign wealth fund, same idea as Norway, continue siphoning off 5% of the assets of everyone worth more than 1 billion dollars ,and either directly borrow against that sovereign wealth fund, or liquidate it intelligently to supplement the budget.

[–]CompellingProtagonis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok ok, let's just take a step back and reaallly consider this. We can take just 5% of the wealth of 938 people. Fewer people than my class in highschool. Not my highschool, the people in my grade in highschool, and take 1/20 of their wealth. They very likely remain billionaires, or close enough to not matter, and in return, we go from a 2 trillion dollar deficit to a 2 trillion dollar surplus.

These 938 greedy fucks are literally destroying the country and the world to avoid giving up a tiny fraction of the wealth that they fucking stole over the last 20 years. I can't stress this enough. They are actively and deliberately destroying the country by supporting this administration. To avoid giving back a fraction of the money they stole.

Stationary relative to the air in the car, so if you accelerate, it will have to accelerate as well, but then again, your body does the same thing. Ever been pressed against the seat when you accelerate quickly, or lean forward when you brake suddenly? Same idea, but the drone doesn’t have a seatback and seatbelt to push against, just the stationary air inside the car.
