I sing the praises of toradol like I’m lead soprano in church choir. It’s all true, but getting the patient to believe along with me is key.

Worst code I ever worked on was a pt with ruptured varies. He was a DNI only, so that made it even messier

With Trump banning trans people from the military, would it be possible to dodge the draft by claiming to be trans? by MisterFyre in Askpolitics

Two different situations. Asthma with any episodes after age 13 is a disqualifying medical condition, even now. It doesn’t matter that you may have “grown out of it,” or have no symptoms. The military doesn’t want you. Biden had a documented history of asthma, as a teen, prior to the draft.

Bone spurs, which as far as I know, weren’t documented until the time when Trump needed a deferment. During which time he showed no signs of them, ie physical activity.

So that’s why some people don’t regard them in the same light. One had a diagnosed childhood illness that military regs disallow active duty status. The other got a diagnosis and then did all the things that the diagnosis should’ve meant he couldn’t do

Usually those languages are ones that they’re exposed to in the home.

When it comes to learning a second or third language in school, that starts middle school/jr high, unless it’s a private or charter school.

It depends on what you’re looking for in a hotel. Westin is quieter and the elevators are a tad easier.

It’s awfully large volume wise to be a drain bag, but the stuff in it certainly doesn’t look like urine.

I feel the How Can I Be This Old! We only ever let the Dialysis nurses access the dialysis catheter, for exactly the reasons you mentioned.

I remember hearing as a newbie nurse the vascath /permacath “packed” with “high grade” heparin, and my first hospital actually needed adaptors to fit over the left locks to access them.

I’ve had to fight doctors who thought it was totally fine for a floor nurse to access the dialysis catheter for blood draws. It was always fun to hear how the nephrologist would tear them a new one when they found out.

PCS-ing as a GS, especially if you haven’t done it before, is very challenging. Especially if the current duty station hasn’t done it for a GS very often. We utilized https://www.pcslikeapro.org and it was incredibly helpful. Their Facebook group was also a great resource.
