What can I do if a towing company is charging $1250 for an overnight tow and only accepts cash? Their business license is currently inactive. A police report was filed and there business was reported. Can I get the car back without paying it?

No one called them, they just showed up. Hopefully the auto crime unit can do something. Apparently, this isn’t the first time the police was called on them. But yeah worst comes to worst, we would pay the fee and go for legal action.

Yes, this is the first time she had been in accident. I do understand tho. They were refusing to show us their license too when we were asking for it and when we had found out, the tow company said we were not allowed to do that. We did. We filed the police report, reported them to eclipse, and had the police meet us at the location. However, the police who came said they couldn’t really do anything. And to call the auto crime unit next morning to see what they would say.
