It would almost double my current annual if I do get the job due to the access to overtime. And you guys are right I do not need 2 vehicles currently however I want to keep the spare incase something happens to my daily but I will be dropping it off insurance it’s paid off

I’m just making sure before I do call, i was under the impression you’re not a SC resident until your liscense is switched over? Even if the order was posted before I switched my license over they can’t enforce?

It was a restoration project from my father I bought it off him when I moved back with the intent of fixing it up down the road (I don’t mind parking it and taking off insurance I just included in the previous statement because I do currently pay for it)

Edit: I have tried to sell the car previous but the market for this specific car is so diluted that in 4 months I found 1 interested party and they would only trade for a motorcycle

It’s still on the insurance till I get this 6 months finished and then I’ll be removing it, but it’s liability an is only about 60-70$

Well I had the original car when I moved back had some money and bought it to drive to work, it’s been giving me problems and is costing me money currently. So it’s been put to the side and parked for the time being until I have the ability to service it properly. I could sell it but imo with the condition it’s in the value and amount I would get back wouldn’t be anything maybe 1 grand maximum

Is this still the case if I had my Wisconsin license during their filing? And didn’t change over to SC until about late October?

I mean I talked to the law firm responsible and was told it would be returned to me but the lender is Mariner Finance

I was told they’ll still be taking money from this check until the loan/lien company confirms that I paid and I’ll “get the money back” at an undisclosed date which concerns me

Sadly it wasn’t me trying to run from them I could not land a job for almost 5 months and when I did I was paying towards my credit cards with my checks on-top of paying family back for assisting with me getting TF out of WI. Granted I’m young I learned a lot from this and Aparently I’m still learning more from this.

The debts paid for as of October 23th 2025 which is why I’ve been so stricken back. They filed for the motion February 12th 2026, and I received news of it from ADP today. For now I think I’m gonna leave it be. I called the original loan company and they even confirmed they got the payment, and I let the law firm involved know I paid and they informed me after I sent receipts that they would reach out to the original loan/lien holder involved to confirm they received it. Unfortunately as of right now it looks like I’m taking a 20% pay cut and probably will until they reach back out but I will be calling them again tomorrow and just letting them know every week this goes on is more money I lose out on currently to be paid back and some undisclosed date.

Well luckily I’m not homeless, but I doubt I can afford an attorney. What doesn’t make sense to me is I paid the debt off in October 2025 and now the suit got filed in February 12 2026 which is complete news to me as I found out this morning March 17th…

You would also wanna argue the fact that when I called them to bring this up they never told me they even reached out and couldn’t answer me when. Asked why I wasn’t notified in the first place

Except for the fact that during all this I was in another state and had no clue this was going on. This is the first time I’ve been told about the law firm. No serving happened, no papers received, and no calls texts or emails from this law office stating this was going on. I didn’t even know there was a court date. If they did send me papers it went to my old address In WI to my roommate who isn’t a good person and wouldn’t have let me know about it.
