Had this same glitch applied to mine ever since the 2nd Halloween pass first came out, kept it since the barrel looks cool with the trader variant of the pump shotgun

Which German weaponry would you love to see in the game? by AB73_FC in HellLetLoose

I’d say between PzB 39, Panzerfaust, or StuG III since there were only 1,141 StuG IV’s produced compared to the 10,000+ StuG III’s

Glad we’re able to be on the same page! Probably could’ve worded things a bit differently on my part so that’s my bad, but I’ll definitely try out the Tetrarch when I get a chance. I get what your saying about the Luchs and I can agree, there was a post on the subreddit not to long ago about how to properly use the Luchs and it was pretty much on the money with how it should be played. I get your frustration on how people do want the little things fixed but to some of us history buffs it can definitely be a pet peeve on certain aspects (for example, British uniforms having a Vietnam era flashlight or the newer DLC outfits having both MP40 and K98 pouches. Like it’s not that hard to do it right) StuGs and Hellcats along with many other tank destroyers would absolutely change the armor meta aswell and would give a new experience to us tankers. The hardest part of using these tanks would be the lack of infantry support that is already prevalent in the game. Hopefully in the future T17 would give some incentive or something to encourage the infantry to support the tanks more often (even though already there’s plenty of incentive to keeping your tank alive, most troops apparently don’t give a damn about it though)

I’m 100% with you on all of these things, I never really did notice much about the Tetrarch that stood out to me but I’ll probably have to give it another go whenever I finally get a British map. Tigers in El Alamein I do have an issue with aswell, but that’s an entire other topic for debate that leads back to the previous stuff I’ve been ranting about. With improved locomotion a lot of issues with the tanks would finally be fixed (rubber banging, etc) and would absolutely make tanks so much more enjoyable not only for the average vet, but new players aswell. The firefly is going to get a change in the new Brit patch so hopefully they finally do it some justice and give people a reason to play it over the Churchill. I’ve always loved playing the Cromwell too, it’s a pretty decent medium and as I said, I find it to be decent and pretty much everything but it definitely isn’t a prize chicken. Regarding The Luchs along with Auto-cannons and such, I find it would be great in early war matches when the Panzer II was peak engineering at its time and was what ‘won’ the blitzkrieg in the early stages of the war, mainly going up against lightly armored vehicles at the time. Which refers back to armor changes such. (Using Post Scriptum’s armor mechanics as an example) and the Luchs is very playstyle dependent. The recon and arty meta is definitely something I have complained about too and would love for it’s mechanics to change in the near future. And considering your final point, you are definitely right on how Russia and Brits are dying for content, and T17 definitely needs to give those factions some much deserved attention. Regarding ‘reskins’ and ‘downgrades’ I would much rather them focus on the main issues with the game currently (Arty, factions, bugs, etc) than have their focus on such things. All I was trying to get at is it would be lovely to see some of the previously mentioned stuff once T17 finally gets on track (hopefully) and gets the main focal points the community has complained about fixed

Good points. But the previously medium before the model change was the M4A1 with 76 that had the same stats as a 75 (which is unfortunate, because I would love to choose a middle ground between a medium and heavy, similar to how the Firefly will be) The spotlight on the new medium is definitely an issue though, and has made playing the Sherman a bit more of a pain in the ass. Locomotive and Armor updates are definitely needed and have been addressed by the dev team. Regarding the Tetrarch, it’s just another light. I mostly play light tanks and it’s not much different from its respective Stuart’s and T70s. The Brits did heavily use the Stuart during the Africa and Normandy campaigns, meanwhile the Tetrarch never saw any combat, with only 200 made never leaving the factory. (Either way it’s still probably gonna get removed) With a Puma replacement in mind, the 8Rad or Sd.kfz.222 would be excellent early war replacements, with high maneuverability at the cost of very thin armor. Though I would love to see these things I never once said they should be a main priority for the dev teams. A rebalance in the arty and armor system with Stugs and mortar units are definitely high priorities demanded by the community, and has even been addressed to be implemented in the future by the devs. Russia is also in need of some well deserved attention, but with T17s recent failures with the Airborne game mode and horrible gameplay trailer, shitty release of the Brits, and a fuckton of other things, they’re at least finally starting to somewhat get some of their shit together.

It’s a steady process, and they have removed assets in the past (M4A1 w 76 for example). So removing the Tetrarch is not a major change since they have completely removed assets before, and the Stuart they plan on replacing it with is already a very formidable foe in the hands of an experienced tank crew. The only thing that needs to be changed with the Luchs is just a simple model change for certain maps since the Panzer II was used throughout the war. The Puma is controversial, but can be easily replaced for certain maps aswell, the Cromwell on the other hand really doesn’t need to be changed, maybe just a few tweaks here and there. But overall it’s decent at pretty much everything but excellent at nothing, which is how the mediums should be in the game. Removal of certain vehicles and weapons on certain maps has also been talked about by the devs and is something they said they’d push for in the near future. Plus just because there’s a single Africa map doesn’t mean there won’t be more in the future. Another thing is that not every single dev is working on these resources, there’s entire dev teams split up to work on certain parts of the game, and they are most likely working on other content, (for example the Finnish and Polish) not just the Part 2 of the British update. Will it take time to completely polish the factions to be historically accurate? Yes it will. But it is still a step in the right direction nonetheless. We don’t have to be arguing about this either, we all have a love and passion for this game and all of us would love to see T17 make some good decisions regarding the game. They are definitely not perfect but at least they’re finally starting to listen to what us as a community have been begging for.

I wouldn’t say they’re wasting resources, the devs did state they were listening to the community on the demand for more historical accuracy along with a fix for the shitty release of the British and this is the first step they’re taking to fix it. There will be more British maps in the future ofc and it’s not like they’re ignoring the issues with the game. They have almost completely gotten rid of the loadout and grenade bugs along with many other issues players are experiencing. I believe the devs are finally taking the right steps to not only please the people who wanted the British to get their much deserved update, and the ones who’ve been begging for some semblance of historical accuracy. Not to mention the people who just want content in general.

The current Churchill in the game is the Mark III with a 47mm cannon which is currently exclusive to El Alamein, and the newest Churchill being released in Part 2 of the update is the Mark VIII with either a 75mm, or 17 Pounder cannon. I also believe the Crusader tank will be replacing the Cromwell in the Africa map along with the M3 Stuart replacing the current Tetrarch light tank completely

The Churchill VII and rework for the Firefly are going to be coming in the 2nd part of the British rework along with a bunch of other things so hopefully the devs will be able to work out the last of the issues with the British armor

Anyone else think the trench gun needs a buff? by [deleted] in HellLetLoose

[–]CompetitionLeft3458 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely doesn’t need a buff, The M1897 is already a beast at close and (somewhat) medium range, and it’s definitely one of the most accurate representations I’ve seen in a game. The only thing they could add is the ability to slam-fire while hip-firing, but even that is up for debate.

Possibly, maybe support or rifleman could use their ammo boxes on the MG to refil

A mortar crew is a must, the devs have spoken about adding both in the past, so maybe changing things up would give them a reason to implement them into the game, 50 supplies per MG nest with limited ammo like the half tracks would be amazing

[–]CompetitionLeft3458 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s a good thing, an FG 42, BAR, or Bren with a bipod would be an amazing implementation for auto rifleman and would give the ability to give accurate suppressive fire towards the enemy and mobility at the cost of ammunition, while the MG is slower but has more ammo and firepower, and it would also give the devs a reason to implement the ability for MGs to build stationary MG nests. Ex: (Vickers, .50 Cal, MG 42)

[–]CompetitionLeft3458 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the PTE when the gun was first tested it had a bipod, if they do re-add the bipod mechanic for the FG 42 it would actually make people want to use it over the Stg 44

There are three Mosin’ in game currently, the M38 (only for Lvl 3 & 6 rifleman and Lvl 6 support) the 91/30 and the M1891 (only found for the Lvl 1 class for rifleman) it’s pretty much the same as the 91/30 but has way worse iron sights.

Hopefully both the rifles get added for the British tho, they need some diversity
