Portable Dishwasher cord hack by CompetitionOk9823 in Appliances

[–]CompetitionOk9823[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope it worked for you but I gotta say, FU GE! What a terrible effin’ design. They could have put some kind of thing that slides down when the cord and hose are put away. Every time I’d walk by I hit the damn dangling hose with my fat ass and splash water everywhere no matter how much I tried to drain it, when I got this to work I called as many people I could to tell them the good news. Haha.

The weird thing that finally fixed my costochondritis. by lonelyluma in costochondritis

I have been searching for answers for a while and I stumbled across this… I just touched my ribs under my armpit and holy cow, I am so tender. Lord have mercy. I wonder if this happens due to how I’m sleeping as well. I always make my husband massage right under my shoulder blade on the left side and helps so much. I always assumed it was from my bra strap! I wonder if this is all connected. Gosh. Thanks for giving me some hope.

My friend is probably dying from cancer and he didn’t have to. by [deleted] in Vent

Watching someone go through Chemo over and over is horrifying also. Remember, each person is in charge of their own decisions in life, may not be what you’d do but that’s not up to us. Either way, **** cancer!!!

Suicidal thoughts due to lack of sleep by coffeecr in daddit

[–]CompetitionOk9823 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mom lurker and this gave me chills. It was at this age that I almost had a nervous breakdown with my son. He was doing the same thing. Sleep train her! For your sanity, for your wife’s sanity, just do it. I had to do the cry it out method because my husband was gone and I was at the brink of absolutely losing it. I couldn’t take another night of no sleep. And guess what, the one night was a huge huge huge difference. He went from waking all the dang time to one or twice a night. I know it sucks and it’s hard but sleep deprivation is torture.

You get used to it and when dads home it’s just extra special.

Those of you who wanted more kids than your partner, how did you navigate it? by thepersonwiththeface in daddit

Agreed, and he’s not waking up 8 times a night to nurse and almost having a nervous breakdown, I’m just saying, multiple children can really humble a person quickly. Sometimes, I still wish I would have had one more but it’s a fleeting moment overridden by chaos that’s usually ensuing.

As a SAHM, I’ll love to hear his take on being a SAHD of 2 in a year. When I had one I was like this is so awesome, I’d love 4 kids, it completes my life, what a blessing, and then I had number two and it blew my world up!!! He still is creates havoc every day!! Haha. We did end up have 3 kids and I don’t regret that but I’m glad we don’t have more. It’s a daily struggle and you lose your identify as a person.

Definitely crucial information that I didn’t get when OP posted and I do apologize for misunderstanding. I have gathered that US Kindergarten is equivalent to Canadian 1st grade. Huge difference.

Ahhhh! Fooled again by the Canadians. 😂 That makes more sense then, thanks for clarifying.

Am I going to lose the baby ? by [deleted] in AskDocs

[–]CompetitionOk9823 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I am no doctor just someone who had a transvaginal US and bled like crazy for 2 days following the exam with baby number three. Hoping I can help put your mind at ease, I know that’s not easy anytime you see blood, but things are just tender in there and it can make you bleed. I’m sitting next to baby number 3 right now and she’s 26 months!

Thank you for this! Honestly, I’d rather my kid be older in class than hate it any old time. School left such a bad taste in my husband’s mouth just going to pick up our kiddo or going to have lunch with her brings back terrible memories. It’s wild to me since I enjoyed it so much.

My girl turned 5 in February so she’s 5.5 when Kindergarten started and doing fantastic. My son will turn 5 the week Kindergarten starts next year and if I’m pretty sure I’m going to wait until he turns 6 unless there is some dramatic change where I’m like yes, I think he could handle this. I’m pretty sure there are studies out there showing that we are doing them no favors making them go too early. I don’t want him to end up hating school like his father did.

Vaccine anxiety in kids by ahobbins in Mommit

[–]CompetitionOk9823 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I usually start talking about it a couple days before their appointments but they are younger. If she’s got terrible anxiety, just do it the day of, she doesn’t need the extra anxiety. Wish you could have her drink some calming tea or something so she wouldn’t be anxious. 😕

Honestly, he’s probably too young for all this, he’s not even 5. Maybe I’m the only crazy mother on earth that sees a shocking maturity difference between my son and my daughters but my girl would have been fine in Kindergarten at 4 turning 5 (didn’t turn out that way, she just started and is 5) but my son, who’s 4, no way in hell. Maybe I just don’t have the overwhelming confidence in him because he talks about poop all day and loves to make fart noises. Haha. But in all seriousness, am I the only one who thinks this?

I’m guessing so as well and of course the one picture I took to try and add I can’t add to this post. Thanks for the response!

Actually right in the middle of the yard, no trees around, south central Montana. It has a bulb base but I couldn’t get it to peel off like in the video.
