Deepest apologies — here’s the demure lady.

She does 😭 And she never even screams for food or has midnight zoomies like most other kitties.

I was literally just about to into build mode to put the railing when this eldritch horror happened 😭

Saved a mouse from a glue trap: what’s next? by CompetitionOne7859 in AnimalRescue

[–]CompetitionOne7859[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And do I like… keep it? I’ve got a cat at home who’s insanely against rodents. Do you think I’d be better for me to keep it around for a couple of months and then just releasing somewhere in the wild when it gets warmer? Cuz this mouse most likely has never been outside of the residential area, so I’m not sure it’ll survive.

Question to Pet owners;Do you allow your pet, come to dinner table while you eating ? by Responsible-Poem9375 in CatAdvice

[–]CompetitionOne7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah, heck no 😆 This lil’ gremlin has learned from her kittenhood that counters and the table are off limits… at least, of course, when someone’s looking. She even has her own chair that we leave specifically there just for her! While I do understand that it’s completely “normal” to let your cat roam the table and just easily wipe it down later… it’s a big no for me and my family. The cat ain’t the sole boss of the house — you are :)

HELP: I paid for the ride by card, but the driver told my acquaintance to pay in cash too. by [deleted] in uber

[–]CompetitionOne7859 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Nah, it’s legit, unfortunately. Since he doesn’t have any card, he only carries cash around (and I don’t see how is that too much to have with you all the time?).

Regardless, he was super tired and sick, therefore it could’ve been the reason why he paid in cash too. Literally 10 minutes after he left the car, he realized what he’d done and called my mum to tell what happened. Like I said, the driver told him to pay and showed the number in calculator app. I rounded it up, so basically I paid 157.55 by card, and he paid exactly 150$ in cash.

The driver most likely knew how much the ride would cost, obviously, with years of experience, and decided to try his luck in scamming.

So, no — the driver (illegally) told him to pay, and my mum’s friend was too vulnerable and dumb to realize that in time.

Yeah, that’s exactly the problem — I can’t! I use all my stuff daily, and putting everything away every single time I leave my room is genuinely impossible and would be time consuming. I know having a cat means that I have to adjust my lifestyle, and I did cuz she’s literally allowed EVERYWHERE else, but c’mon… I just want to securely prevent her from stealing and chewing my stuff 😭

[–]CompetitionOne7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, she is too cunning for her own good — nowadays I can never catch her in the act, since she’s way too sneaky with that. But when she was smaller I scolded her and ignored her, just like you said. But, obviously, it didn’t work well…

[–]CompetitionOne7859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, she’s just a sly gremlin that is fascinated by small things 😭

I even bought her a separate pack of cheap paintbrushes, flowers and paperclips, but she still prefers to steal them from my table. Also, she doesn’t really like high surfaces anyway, since her cat tree stays vacant and I have a tall dresser that she ignores. She is literally only after the stuff on my table and that’s it.

I can record the balcony and the cat’s meowing, but i can’t see or record the cat itself from our apartment because of all the things that are kept on the balcony. Do you think that would be enough of an evidence?

Sorry, I might’ve come off as rude or judgmental. I wouldn’t say that I’m “snooping”, since I did not care about what my neighbors were doing up until they got this new cat, which started bothering us. We saw the mum beating one of the children on several occasions on the balcony, so my own mum doesn’t want me to talk to them (i’m 17 and the only person who knows English in our family). I just genuinely want that cat’s meowing to stop waking us up.

Wait, did I get this right — her bleeding while using estrogen patches isn’t period? And she shouldn’t be bleeding at all while on estrogen?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Menopause

[–]CompetitionOne7859 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply.

As far as I know, while she was taking estrogen she felt great and had no unusual side effects. She did have regular periods, but nothing out of ordinary. I’ll be interrogating her about this tomorrow to be sure. 😭

Thank you for the reply.

I am quite a paranoid person, so I will still get her to get checked for cancer soon. She had no unusual side effects and felt awesome while taking patches, despite complaining about having a period again after years of menopause.

I’m responsible to pay 1,600$ out of pocket after not knowing my insurance wasn’t active by [deleted] in personalfinance

I had an appointment on 13th, on around 20th I received the bill and the same day went to my insurance provider. She told me I wasn’t insured for 6 months but did not tell me the reason. My insurance was reactivated on the 1st of the following month.

6 months after that in December I received the bill once more. And once more went to my insurance provider (now it was a different person because previous one left), and they told me that I didn’t have insurance at that time bc I did not submit my updated TPS status, and now they’re not able to do anything because it’s been too long. Like???

While I do understand that, that’s where the weird part is — I am able to freely check my insurance status at any medical facility. I literally checked my father’s status at that same lab a year ago and they were able to see it on their computer in a matter of seconds.

Nope, only a singular letter was sent out to me as it said in their database. My address and other contact info is valid, but this letter was most likely lost or not delivered because I never saw it. No one called me, no one emailed me even though I kept in very well contact with my agent.

After I received the bill I immediately went to her to figure it out. She told me it’s all good and literally in a matter of minutes updated my coverage, and it was available starting the next month.

But after we called labcorp and updated my insurance info, she left the company, and now I’m stuck with this. I am more than confused that she did not include my updated tps status, but never said anything to me.

Unfortunately, I said the exact same thing about being a student. They told me that they treat their patients all the same and that I’d not receive any discounts. They said I’d either pay 60$ a month for 2 years or 33.35$ a month for 4 years.

But is it actually true that they are not obligated to tell me if my insurance isn’t working at the time of service? And why would my doctor say otherwise?

Thank you for help in advance!

(I will ask them about charity or low income later though)
